    injector question

I would be less mad at GM had it been 200K miles, period. By putting the 7 year time limit on the warranty makes it essentially worthless.....to me at least. Oh well, live and learn....and I have.

    oil change

Look out for that skid plate. As the oil level gets lower during the drain process, it will drain directly onto the top of the skid plate and you will drip oil for several days....PITA. I cut the side out of a one gallon jug (clorox) and let the oil drain into the jug and run out of the lid...

LB7: ABS light/ parking brake light with service brake system

The wires from the wheel (speed) sensors up to the harness have been known to wear through from rubbing on suspension parts. Check for bare wires shorting. Also, there is a ground lug under the drivers side on a cross brace for the frame rail. This ground is for the EBCM and can become corroded...

    Transmission fluid and filter.

The initial fill (no fluid in trans, lines, converter, or pan) 12.7 quarts. If you just drain and fill and replace the filter, 7.4 quarts. If you do a flush you will need somewhere around 12.5 quarts. The Hoot Method is a way of flushing everything out. This write-up includes Trans go jr...

    Best Fuel Additive??

I am running the Stanadyne Performance Formula since '01, and Lubricity Formula for about 2 years. I have developed a low speed surge so I am going to try a quart of 2-stroke oil (quart per tank) to see if that will help. Probably the FPR going south or worse the dreaded injector issue....

    255/85/16

I have 255/85/16s on my dually, and I am using the 2" spacers on the rear. The tires stick out less than 1/2", but they do throw all kinds of crap up onto the body...if that matters to you. The fronts fit fine with no suspension adjustments, however, if I get the truck in bind on a turn...like...

What does everyone use as a fuel addative?

I run the Stanadyne performance formula. I have recently started adding the lubricity formula just because....mostly because of the lubricity test. I did run out of the Stanadyne last year and couldn't get it in time for trip so I used Power Service. I swear the the truck ran quieter, but I have...

    Where to find wheel spacers

I have a set of Fred's spacers for my dually for when I put on my 235 tires in a few months. I went with the 2" aluminum spacers...no mods to lug studs. Fred's spacers come with a machined lip that maintains hub-centric wheel fitment which will definitely keep the wheels from loosing up or...
