    Got it running. Pretty embarrassing what ended up being the main problem... A friend came with his snap on scanner. The main code I kept getting was the b1372. The troubleshooting said to check Ign E fuse... I've replaced that fuse and checked it with the test light... But one side of the fuse...

    Ok. Talked with a tech from bullydog who was very helpful. Turns out the bullydog was still locked to the truck.. It would not let me return the truck to stock. So he sent me over a recovery file. Flashed it with that and it took. Was able to return the truck to stock with the bullydog after...

    The truck does not light up the gear selection indicator. Has not worked since the owner has had the truck... Is that related to the nsbu switch? I've heard of the nsbu switch causing no start issues...

    Tried different batteries out of my truck. That didn't change anything. The truck does have an aftermarket head unit but I unplugged it and the interface harness the first time I tried to read the ecm and it's been unplugged since. I'm going to get the bullydog tuner that I think is still locked...

    I will give it a shot. I don't think it is batteries since I was able to bump the starter relay and get the truck to crank and fire. But in will throw the batteries out of my truck in it and see if that makes any difference.

    Yes I did. Even swapped the fuse and confirmed I had power there when I was checking all the other fuses.

    Went through all the fuses again and made sure they had power. Bumped the starter relay and the truck fires, runs then dies immediately and continues to crank. Which is what it should do when you do that according to a buddy that's a tech at the dealer. So I'm ruling out the starter and...

    Yes. I attempted to read the ecm several times. It never completed though.

    Went through the vats relearn... Still no crank. Hooked up to it with efi live and it is still giving me the exact same results as with the previous ecm.

    Well the new ecm didn't do the trick. Nothing has changed... Any ideas where to start looking?

    I read through your thread. The truck still has power to the fuses. Can't find any damaged or burnt up wires any where. Got a replacement ecm that I'm picking up today. Wish I had a bench harness to try and flash it with.

    Doesn't give a code. Just the error message. Battery's are good. Had them on a trickle charger after I started running into problems as a precaution.

    The fuse I pulled is a 20a labeled "PCM B"... The fuse slot labeled " PCM 1" is an empty slot. Is there a different ecm fuse I should be trying?

    Tried this after doing the PCM fuse pull. Still getting the "bootloader rejected no response from ecm" message. Also tried reading the ecm and got a long message about the ecm being locked and needing the key lock code or somthing. I'm pretty sure it's somthing to do with the junk ass bullydog...

    Tried it. Still won't let me full flash or read the ecm. And still no crank... Thanks though. I was praying it would work. Looks like I'm buying him a new ecm... Not sure what went wrong. And now I'm gonna be scared to try and tune the truck with the new ecm...

    Yes I did. I had both fingers crossed that it would save me but wasn't that lucky. Tried it a few times with no luck. I can hear it power up the ecm when I put the fuse back in but the truck still doesn't crank and I still can't read the ecm... Apparently the truck was tuned with a bullydog and...

    Emergency Relearn on ECM works on LBZ

    I'm assuming this is for vehicles that are in a crank but no start condition? I'm dealing with a 04.5 LLY that is in a no crank situation after a failed ecm read with efi live. Tried doing a vats relearn through efi live scan tool and it wouldn't talk to the ecm. Pretty sure I've got a bricked ecm.
