    LB7: LB7 Upper Oil Pan Removal

    I found a way around removing the flywheel for those doing and upper pan removal. I ground down a 17mm 3/8 drive socket just enough to clear the flywheel. It was enough to break the two bolts loose, then the rest can be done with a wrench or needle nose pliers. :thumb:

    Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. My upper pan is cracked and the seal is going out.

    I am in the process of removing my upper oil pan. I have removed the front diff and transmission from the truck, and now I am trying to figure out how to remove the rear bolts for the oil pan. Does anyone know of any way to remove the rear bolts without removing the flywheel?
