Allison 5sp: Shift range inhibit after tcase service

So I found the issue, I unclipped the pigtail and pulled the conduit off. The previous owner must have "repaired" the pig tail because I found the male connector for the vss wasn't the original connector. They used butt connectors but didn't heat shrink the repair and it became corroded and...

Allison 5sp: Shift range inhibit after tcase service

What I meant by that is it a dire issue I need to fix now while I'm trouble shooting this current problem, or next weekend when I get it all straightened out. I mentioned the connection having atf but neither of you said anything about it.

Allison 5sp: Shift range inhibit after tcase service

Ok I didn't know it had a connection further up, I'll check the pins also. But do I have anything to worry about the pass through connector to the internal harness leaking atf?

Allison 5sp: Shift range inhibit after tcase service

Mike is that the sensor on the tcase where I fill from? It's plugged in for sure, I replaced it with a new one this morning. I read the resistance across both sensors and they were the same so I don't think it's the sensor. I have turned on the truck, drive it for a little down the road and shut...

Allison 5sp: Shift range inhibit after tcase service

Hey guys so Saturday morning I went to a buddies house to change the tcase fluids. Truck has 167k on it and seems like it's never been serviced because the atf was black and thin. I reserviced it through the speed sensor hole with 3 qts of 5w30 mobile 1 synthetic. Went to leave and the truck...

    Odd LLY problem

Alright guys an update for anyone in the future with this problem. The culprit this whole time for me was the intake and exhaust mods without a tune. I took a step back on all the problems and realized that the intake was larger in diameter, so airflow is going to be slower, tricking the maf and...

    Odd LLY problem

    Odd LLY problem

Update: So today I pulled the map sensor and it was completely trashed. I tracked down one at a dealership near by and took the ride to get it. Got the new map sensor in, cleared the codes and went for a drive. Got 2 miles and maf performance low pops up and I make no boost. Truck struggled hard...

    Odd LLY problem

It's a new k&n filter. I blew some of the oil off before installing it to keep the new maf clean. I inspected the filter this morning and cleaned the maf to be sure but the codes came back and low boost happend on my way home.

    Odd LLY problem

Yes i need to compare the logs to see what the differences are but when it's in low power my maf flow drops to about 350g/s but when it's running good I see as high as 450ishg/s. Does you guys think a faulty glow plug module could be sending signals throughout spamming everything? My friend...

    Odd LLY problem

I belive its oiled. When I got the truck the old filter was trashed so I removed the intake tube and cleaned it really good. I tried cleaning the maf and still popped codes. So I got a new filter and maf, I read about the k&n filters being oily so I hit it with a little compressed air when I put...

    Odd LLY problem

The command and actual positions show they are spot on, but I also don't know what the expected range for the vanes. I'll do another log for vanes today on my way to work and I'll post the results. If my vanes were sticking wouldn't I see black smoke too? It blows clean even when reduced power.

    Odd LLY problem

Miles are 160k, I get P0101 maf, P0299 turbo underboost and sometimes P0401 but the egr assembly is all new including the cooler. I dropped a block off plate in, it did feel like it helped but still getting codes. Would these codes cause the FICM to pull fuel or timing because of "lack" of air?

    Odd LLY problem

Efi live shows that the command position lines right up with actual position, so it seems that they are tracking right.

    Odd LLY problem

Hey guys, so I got my 2005 GMC Sierra back in March this year. It ran great until a month after I got it. Started falling on its face at speeds between 45-55 mph, rpms run all the way to 3200 rpms so I don't think its limp mode. So I changed the fuel filter to a cat 2 micron, then I started...

New guy with odd LLY problem

Hey everyone, just checking in and will be posting some questions in the appropriate threads. New to the diesel world but have a background with jet engines so I am willing to learn!
