Cp3 removal
Ok so I started this thread with my lb7 and now have the same problem with my lbz. I'm guessing just taking off the a/c comp, alternator, and y bridge then I can access the bolts on the injection pump. Are there two bolts on the front of the engine that hold the cp3 or are there more than two...- REDHOSS02

UPDATE!! Bottle test was negative, but when I primed the filter fuel spewed from the return line hose I pulled to do bottle test. So figured out v2 and logged. 6700 desired 103.7 actual. Looking for injection pump. -

If it is stuck open will shimming it solve the problem or race valve? If shimming it is better isn't there a sticky with the shim "how to"? I did it on my lb7 but don't remember it's been so long. Thanks guys! -

Long story short, ran a mustang and stomped his ass. Problem is he probably made it home without breaking anything. At the next light he turned, light turned green and I left the light my truck wouldn't go past 2k rpm as I eased out of the throttle it would change gears. Got it home and slapped... -
Converter? Clutches? Reset? WTF
Fuel filter head was leaking and causing low fuel pressure and Trans line going to to cooler had a slow leak. I've been watching fluid levels and adding when needed which was not very often. I'm thinking maybe the Trans adapted to low fuel pressure and is still compensating. I rebuilt the...- REDHOSS02

Seems like to me in 1 year there have been about 8 "DIESEL" shops pop up in this area. I haven't heard one good thing about any of them. Wish I could find someone locally I could trust to do the work I am not comfortable doing myself.- REDHOSS02
