    03 LB7 Build

My interpretation of these graphs is that when you are sitting on the line and not moving, you're stall is at the 0.0 speed ratio (adjust for input torque vs the patterned 500ftlbs). As you start moving your coupling is happening, and at 1.0 you're at lockup. This might not be 100% on the...

DK Terrible? Maybe for larger fixed vane :) My little lb7 fixed vane loves it, lol. The BX does sound more like it though. I seem to recall 2400rpm being recommended stall for that turbo around here, and the B10 or BX seem in-line with that ? As for checking the current converter, if it isn’t...

I got silly on Black Friday and grabbed a set of RAS heavy duty models to throw in. This worked really well with buddy’s truck when he inherited a rear end for his Lmm that had 1500hd springs. He got a better ride and could still tow heavy after adding these. Since I did the Deaver mini pack, I...

Goerend is a great choice and a premium product, but they make as many converters as Carter has Little Pills, and they all have different characteristics. You’ll need to dig a little deeper and find out which model Goerend converter.

No mention of converter. That’ll make or break this kinda build.

24* at the range today. Work party went 9-3pm. We redid the shooting benches. I’m beat! The ole lb7 put in work too!

I have a built lmm I have the build list but honestly I just want someone who knows more than me to just kinda explain the setup its not normal☠️

Full potential for WHAT???? FFS, I’m done trying. You build r1 motors - a guy walks in and tells you to build him the motor to its full potential. 1/4 mile at a time or endurance runs??? Are you a mind reader to know what he wants? Guess it doesn’t matter. Smfh.

We aren’t asking why you bought it because we are mocking you. We are asking because good advice dictates that we know your intended uses(s). You’ve been asked by multiple people, multiple times. What do you want the truck to do for you? Otherwise, James answered you in Post 11 as to what you...

DD turns 20 and our nation turns 250! These are exciting times in which we live! I’m thinking that since I was born in the end of 75, it’s not likely but possible that I could someday make it on the news in my wheelchair, as someone that lived in three eras of our country. Oh, and I won me a...

Wow. Let me try slower. What do you want to do with the truck? Do you want to race 1/4mi? Do you want to do truck pulls? Something else?? Be as specific as possible, especially if there’s more than just one purpose for this truck.

Exactly. Better how? Better at the track? Better at the truck pull? Better for DD? Read the above in a Joe Pesci voice. Funny how? Like a clown? I amuse you?

Final compromise. 1500 seat bottoms and my frame and seat backs. Everything will get a wet Okole cover.

    2002 FE9

I’m cold and disgusted. There’s no way those 1500 rear seats are going in my truck unless I took on some lengthy custom fabrication. Nothing is even close. I read that you can remove the seats and drill/mount them to my frame, but you cannot. The mounting width isn’t even close. The seat bottoms...

    Caltracs vs Traction bars

Apologies! I thought they were just very large spherical joints! I never drove on a set with cushioned ones. I drove other sets with just regular joints and they were rough. True though, they don’t have as much squish as what I use :) So if you’ve welded to the axle, then why didn’t you use rod...

I can’t believe how fast everything is rusting. They’ve only been on for a few months. I need to Blaster Shield everything!

    Caltracs vs Traction bars

Feels like is 13*F, so here’s some quick crappy pics I clicked, lol. You can only get boots on the ends at the front. Seals only on the backs. I actually did a boot on one front and seals on the other to see what lasts longer. I guess I was bored, lol.

    Caltracs vs Traction bars

I can get pictures when I get home from work. As for part numbers, I spoke directly to Travis at Calvert. He recommended that I go with the larger truck bars and their 3/4" hardware and larger course threaded heims. He called it a custom set, but it was really more like a parts-bin "custom"...

    Caltracs vs Traction bars

I’ve had both long bars and Caltracs. The Caltracs don’t just give you racing or 60’ advantages, they make traction everywhere. Like in the rain! I started with long bars and then went to Caltracs and didn’t go back. On the 2002 I went with the new larger truck Caltracs. I do modify the lower...
