Well there goes my chances of 9s this year

Oh jeez. I've had to pressure up cracked heads to over 30 psi to get them to leak. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    Oil prime

Put a new oil pump and pickup tube on and it's been fine. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    Oil prime

Got the lower pan off and found the pickup tube is fine, unfortunately. There is some weird dried up sealant in the cavity where it presses into the upper pan. Maybe some of it got sucked into the pump. I'm unsure at this point. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    Oil prime

I have yet to have one apart but schematic looks like pump seals to upper pan vertically. Then the pickup tube inserts into the upper pan from behind, but horizontal. Without a seal. Looks like they are prone to cracking right at the bevel that it seats on when inserted the entire way. Sent...

    Oil prime

Yes that is correct. This 63 was out of a master pack that I've used 3 or so out of without a problem Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    Oil prime

Im 2 morning starts in with no problem after the filter swap. So the pf63 must have had a faulty drain back valve. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    Oil prime

Has anyone had to fix a apparent oil prime issue? After sitting overnight, this 2021 will take around 15 seconds to build oil pressure. Which brings up the shut off engine warning on the DIC. It has new Rotella T4 15w40 and a PF63. A google search brought up some threads on duramax forum...

    Seriously?

LML surprises. When a customer calls explaining the symptoms that this causes(no flow over maf, so no fueling) it's a head scratcher trying to offer solutions when they are 3 hours away. At least the 1st time, probably won't forget this one. Luckily nothing made it to the turbo Sent from my...

I guess GM thought m10 manifold hardware worked too well for 16 years...... How many have had to extract broken m8 studs out of L5Ps yet. This is our first luckily Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    Snap On vs. Autel

At my shop, we work on nearly anything. I've sworn off Volkswagen and we really don't get people asking about other imports. At this point I only have a Snap on Apollo d8 and Forscan. So chances are, this autel is better than what I currently have, at least in general capabilities Sent from my...

    Snap On vs. Autel

Has anyone switched from snap on scantools to an autel, or possibly used both? I've been using snap on for years. My local napa parts rep left an autel maxisys ultra to demo for 2 weeks. It's their equivalent to a Zues. I'm curious about, definitely going to put it to use Sent from my...
