    Always had issues with hpt box. Worst case flash back to stock entire. Reflash entire. Clear codes and should take.

    What did you use to unlock the ecm? Did you clear codes before starting? I’ve seen a couple trucks completely ignore the tune change either until a couple restarts or disconnecting and reconnecting the batteries. Strangest things ??‍♂️

    LML block, SoCal narrow journal crank, Carrillo rods, fingers cast pistons. Be prepared to spend $50k for the engine and supporting mods. And make sure you have another $50k sitting in your bank you can lite on fire incase something in the motor fails.

    I think the reason OEM has been dropping compression is for NOx emissions reduction. For some reason an L5P with a stock tune will shoot out a puff of smoke on startup. Can’t be good for a DPF but I haven’t figured out if it’s from lowered compression or if making it start rich lowers NOx ??‍♂️

    IIRC that was for stock clutches. Any Dex III for aftermarket. I ran valvoline dex/merc and he never told me i was an idiot so ??‍♂️

    Ppe boost valve just dumps pressure out the fitting and it has a smaller opening. Do a regulator.

    About 10% less than great ? I ran a one way valve to a 1 gallon air tank and a return line with a needle valve almost all the way closed.

    Pull hvac and radio fuse or what terminal do you move under the dash to make it bypass the truck? Theres a thread somewhere about it.

    Duramax turbos are not going to work for your project. Just get some VS racing ball bearing turbos and don’t bother with VGT

    Not to answer for James but airbags make it incredibly difficult to dampen especially constantly varying loads. The only way to make it work how he would want would be electric controlled shocks like in the teslas. I feel like most people don’t realize how much helper bags destroy ride quality...

    Just do airbags and add a 1 gallon air tank inline. Use a one way valve going to the air tank with a return line controlled by a valve. Allow the slightest bit of air to return back to the bags. Gets rid of all of the bounce and doesn’t pogo stick. Or just run timbrens ? but do we ever do...

    I’m curious to try it on my next build. If I end up with piston slap ??‍♂️ can’t be any worse than my hone job I did at home and slapped pistons back in after cracking some ?

    The theory is you’re able to run a tighter clearance, even with a cast piston. The coating will only wear out where clearance is needed.

    The line 2 line coating wears out where clearance is needed. It’s used in racing applications so not sure how it would hold up for a daily driver.
