    My Duramax powered van came with a Dana 70S. I'm not sure the locker/LSD selection would be any better for that than the 60S.

    People that like and use throttle boosting devices don't like to hear that stuff. They're convinced they actually make the ECM respond faster to throttle inputs.

    Thanks Tom! My last trip around the sun was pretty good. I'm looking forward to what the next one will bring. It's funny how what you consider old changes as you age. I remember as a kid thinking someone in their mid 40s was so old, but now that I'm 44, it doesn't seem that old to me anymore.

    I'm not sure what has changed or why this is just now a problem for you, but I can say that those do not look like stock torsion bar keys to me.

    My business partner built a RC/SB 17-19 2500 that he sold to a friend of his, but he also has a 2004 RC/SB 1500 4x4 he swapped an L5P/4L80 into that he is running on an LBZ ECM. It's not finished, and he has somewhat lost interest in the project.

    The biggest problem with the L5P is they are heavy. A typical 4x4 crew cab short bed truck is around 8400 lbs stock. Once you add big wheels/tires, lifts, stereo, etc that most people do, it's not hard to get past 9k lbs. It's not like back in the day when people were actually trying to make...

    That looks like a regular 4500/5500 flywheel housing. I think they use the SAE2 pattern.
