    Best head gasket choice

What is everyone using for head gaskets? Are the new gm holding up? I have done a bit of searching and some people say they are good and some still like the victor ones. Been a few years now so sure someone has really pushed them?

LMM: Drive shaft wall thickness question

The stock aluminum shaft is 5". I wish I could get a heavy duty aluminum faster but I am limited where I live. I see most ext. short box trucks run a 3.5" steel tube they can't be much shorter then a ccsb wheel base? I haven't done the math but the critical speed issue I wouldn't think would be...

So looks like I need a stronger shaft and I am leaning toward steel 4" shaft. To do that I have to change to 1480 ujoints (lmm...

LBZ: HX main bearing clearance ????

I just started putting my bottom end back together with new clevite hx series bearings. I used some green plastigage to check the clearance, I am coming up with .0015". The spec is .0015"-.0028" that is for a production engine. This is going to be a performance application so I would think...

    Deck height question

Good to know. When ordered my Pistons from you I had a hard time deciding on 16:1 or 16.5:1 Pistons. With the .003" off the deck looks like that puts me right in the middle at 16.25:1 :) whats difference in thickness between c and d head gaskets anyone?
