    LB7 Fuel Level Sensor Scaling

If you have a Tech 2, you can command all the needles to 0 or 100% of scale, makes aligning them pretty easy. Just install it in the truck with the face off. The low fuel light should come on regardless of the needle being wrong, so if that didn't happen, you might have another issue. I had my...

    Changing turbo setup

Hit the last day of the season at Firebird Raceway, and now that the rough edges of the tune are worked out, put down a new personal best: 12.609 @ 111 MPH This was with a full tank of fuel, tow hitch, tools, etc. Probably right at 8,200 lb with me in it. I could launch a bit harder, but...

    lb7 throttle sensitivity

I've always tuned it to reduce twitchiness. In my mind, it's easier to plug in a laptop than ness with springs. You're on the right track with your tune, and as was mentioned reducing fuel pressure slightly in the low throttle area will make it less responsive too. Just be careful with fuel...

I'd like to believe someone out there, somewhere, is making good money. Cause it ain't me! Sent from my FlashScan V2 using Tapatalk

Didn't UPS just reach an agreement with the union to pay their drivers like 2x what I make as an electrical engineer? [emoji14] Sent from my FlashScan V2 using Tapatalk

Battery not charging, service air bag, service brake system, only 800rpms WOT, engine oil life stays at 5%, fuel filter life no longer shown.

That's almost certainly one of the audio ground / drain wires, and I believe that's factory. Older trucks had that wire in a clear plastic sleeve, I'm guessing GM switched to tape to save a few cents. Sent from my FlashScan V2 using Tapatalk

    Roughy idle and zero power

Yeah, you should see MAP match Baro with the truck off (which you do, so the sensor is OK) and with the truck idling (which you don't). Since it's low at idle, something is restricting airflow prior to the intake. Did you take the intercooler tube(s) off and leave a rag in them? I'd disconnect...

The LB7 in my Suburban takes forever for the oil to turn blank. It'll look like you posted after 1000 miles. Nothing weird on the oil sample. And for what it's worth, I also run Delo. I also recommend an oil sample, especially given what all happened to the motor. But if you're not making oil I...

    02' LB7 Tow Pig Build

Heck, I did the same thing when I built my motor. Doing the cranking to prime the fuel and oil, and my brother yells out STOP! Pumped half a gallon of oil onto the floor out of a gallery plug I forgot to install. Sent from my FlashScan V2 using Tapatalk

    2002 Allison spiking heat temps

Never seen a P1621 on a stock ECU, only with an emulator soldered in (e.g. RoadRunner). Interesting. The Snap On scan tool should read the real transmission codes, which will hopefully let us know what is happening. It is possible that if the torque converter isn't able to lock it would run warmer.

Use a good scan tool and see what the history codes in the ABS module are.

    Dual Fueler issues, HELP!!

It sure sounds like the PPE controller isn't sending enough current to the 2nd pump. But what are the odds of 2 of them being bad? Can you measure the current going into the 2nd pump with a multimeter? You'd have to cut one of the wires to the regulator and put the meter in-line, or dig up a DC...

    Changing turbo setup

Their printer was broken, but I grabbed a snapshot of the dyno graph. Since HP is measured, and torque gets back-calculated, I believe it is pretty straightforward to back-calculate the true torque since I know the claimed and true RPM for the run. The graph showed me revving out to 4150, but...

    Changing turbo setup

Went down to the Northwest Dyno Cicruit event in Jerome, ID yesterday to see what the new turbo setup does. Running 2000 μs pulse, but timing is just a best guess, so there may be more on the table. With the current setup, my SAC75 injectors are the limit now. It put down 789 HP and ~1150...

    Fleece Cupless heads reviews/updates/opinions etc?

Had a set on my Suburban for about 9 months now. Heads seem quality, and the machine work / prep on them was all done well. They appear to be very close to stock design, so don't expect any power increase. I got them on sale and they worked out about the same cost as redoing my current heads and...

What did I get myself into..

Make sure you put the rear seats back in before deciding if it helped or not. It is amazing how much sound the seats themselves absorb. Sent from my FlashScan V2 using Tapatalk

    Changing turbo setup

Torsion bars are set to stock ride height (stock keys). Can't really turn it down without the 35" tires murdering the cab. I have a front ARB Air Locker, but I haven't used it on the pavement yet, so it was open diff for that video. Steering setup is: Stock centerlink (20k miles) DHD...

    Changing turbo setup

I'll have to get a video of the sound at some point. I recorded the drag race in-cab with a 1st gen GoPro, but those things are a potato by today's standards. If you want to try and hear them over the garbage-grade microphone, here you go: Source: https://youtu.be/RmFiJmt5OmY?t=165

    Changing turbo setup

Heh, that was the shop recharging the A/C. Pity they didn't vacuum any of the air out first, or put on a new dryer, since it was open to the moist air for 6 months... Oh well, I recovered it and vacuumed the water out (took 4 hours to boil off), and A/C actually works now. I plan to redo the...
