    Are my injectors finished?

Ya, warranty is gone. Even if I still had it, no way they would cover injectors after seeing the modifications under the hood. What am I looking for on the wire harness? The one by the FICM for some rub through? I suppose I could redo the injector connectors too. But the truck runs perfectly...

    Are my injectors finished?

Ever since I put a tuner on my truck for the first time it made a bit of blue smoke when it was cold (and cold outside). And its slowly got worse. Over the last year the idle has been intermitently rough when its cold as well. (Sometimes smooth, sometimes slightly rough). But it always made some...

    ARP Head Stud Cycle HELP

I did them one at a time. I brought them up like you mentioned, 60/90/125, and then one at a time I loosened them completely and then retorqued them to 125. And I did that 3 times. I did it in the same torquing order as originally too. My reasoning was that if you drop them all off and bring...

    I HATE the radio!!!

Sat radio has been the greatest invention ever. I switched over about 5 years ago and haven`t looked back. Jason Ellis has entertained me for many hours. I think the whole sirius XM merger kind screwed things up though. I dunno... Octane, Faction, Sirius hits 1, lithium, alt nation and the...

    Body roll fixes?

I dont think they come with rear sway bars. You need an aftermarket one.

    Body roll fixes?

A set of shocks won't help much for what your looking for i don't think. Put a custom set of front sway bar end links in and really crank them down. I think I've seen rear sway bars as well, maybe get one of those? Let your torsion bars all the way down? Might handle better but the front would...

Going to race a 98 vette.

Big tires definetly kill my truck off the line. Even if I spool it up enough to blow the brakes it still hits second gear, dies a bit then has to get back on the pipe.

    Turbo Bad?

Axial (in and out) there should be none. Float (Up and down) I'd say about 1mm is still ok. Obviously there is going to be room for the oil to fill and pressurize the bearing. Any more than that though may not be a good thing. The thing about the axial play... when the compressor or turbine is...

    Turbo Bad?

Take the intake off the stock charger and check for axial play. If there is excess, that could be why its leaking oil. Or excess float (more than 2mm up and down) might mean there is some damage there and oil is getting out of the journal bearing and past the shafts.

    DURAMAX 84 K5 Blazer

Fermanator, did you use the BCM, dash and cluster from a DMAX truck? If not, I'm interested in understanding how you wired up all the gauges etc. Also, where you wire up the OBD2 plug to and what not. I'm interested because I still want to put my LB7 into an 88-92 std cab long box half ton. I...

    DURAMAX 84 K5 Blazer

That transmission probably won't work very well at all. It takes a serious build to make a 700R4 hold a lot of power. I think the stock torque of the dmax would work it over pretty quickly. It wouldn't be tough to include an Allison 1000 in your build, thats what I would do. A 4L80E can be...

    Help: Power steering

I wouldn't expect the power steering to turn the tires when they aren't rolling. If it does it, thats great, but a certain way to smoke a pump by putting that much pressure back on it. If you do that on a regular basis its probably part of your problem. I don't even try that with 35X12.5 tires...

    Sema

I went to the Sema show last year. It was a good time. Saw lots of good stuff. I was there mostly for the diesel aspect of it. I didn't see much that i wasn't already aware of just from browsing the net and message boards but it was still good to see all the sights. Lots of nice vehicles there...

Going to race a 98 vette.

I think it will be close. Vette's got more going for them than just the motor. They are set up to perform all around. A good 4x4 launch would probably take it and you could pull him up to 70-80 or so though i think. I've ran 33 degrees of timing before, on a 3300us pulse width. It ran decent...

    Help: Power steering

The noise from the column is the two piece steering shaft clunking around. You can live with it, or you can take it apart and grease it. It will eventually start clunking again though. If you search "intermediate steering shaft", I'm sure you'll find all the info you need. Power steering pump...

    heater core?

Hmm... Maybe I do recall doing that after all... I got no idea what I did. All I know is I did a quality job because it ran afterwards and is still running.

    heater core?

I dont think any "bleeding" is required either. I believe I just filled the reservoir tank and it all filled itself up. Might have pumped the rad hoses a bit. Then I started it and ran it and topped it up maybe 1 more litre and it was good.
