spraying the outside of the intercooler

To what end? What is your goal, while towing?

spraying the outside of the intercooler

Very little flow rate from these. Not enough to lower the ambient temp by much because of the high air flow rate. Use the largest patio misters you can find, like a .2mm, or similar, and use about 10 of them on a snaked tube. Point them forward, away from the stack for the best evap time and...

Need some help w/ 2005 LLY

Probably a turbo vane position sensor, a MAP sensor, or sticking EGR. There is also an injector wiring harness issue issue that is common on the LLY, you may be experiencing. Could also be a loaded fuel filter, but not as likely.

    IAT Question

My conclusions last year was AAT was underhood, and IAT was dampened, indicating post CAC. IIRC it was an LMM. I would hope they (LMM and LBZ) are the same, whatever the convention. This has always been a point of confusion, that EFILive did not follow the established convention. The term...

    LBZ mileage tune

I can't load it, but on appearance there are some interesting :thumb: adjustments.

    LLY DSP5 Issues

It opens fine if saved to desktop first. BTW, the rpm bump happens in all your tunes, base tune included. It looks to be a refinement setting to me, embedded in your idle definitions in the main tune. Perhaps B0754, b0939, or more likely B1023.

LBZ: A few rail pressure issues

Once upon a time, I saw very strange, uncommanded swings in rail pressure while messing around with LBZ tuning. I think it was when using a non-zero value in B1115, hence the warning in the description now. I only mention it because you had mentioned using a different accelerator. Don't know...

help with intercooler pipe blowing off rubber cupling to turbo

consider an HD T-bolt clamp with integrated spring. There is thermal expansion/contraction going on the hot side. The spring tries to keep tension throughout heating/cooling. Also, a new 3" hot side pipe helps. Just a thought.

    Fan clutch engagement

Larry did this become a bigger problem after the induction work? can you post a log of IAT and boost for your typical drive? If you haven't dampened IAT swings, this is a big part of the issue. also, if you can somehow log COT, compressor output temp, that may be a big part of the story...

Boost stick + Stock tune = Crappy MPG?

James, out of curiosity, what were you trying to accomplish with it?

    LLY: my truck's weird issues...revisited...again

I looked through this thread and I have examined literally thousands of logs, not one with twins. However, many relationships won't change. You have a stock tune with a non-stock configuration, so there isn't any particular validity to any logic you are trying to convey. Tony and others are...

    Pre-Filter Pressure Relief

The filter spec requires a medium pressure bypass. Plus there is the bypass in the filter housing itself. Are these inneffective in the cold?

    LBZ Smoke control

I am referring to spoolup smoke resulting from excessive equivalance ratio. Looking for suggestions from those who feel they have successfuly tamed the mixture imbalance that is natural on wide open tunes, during spoolup. I have played with various available limiters, but there is no apparent...

    LBZ Smoke control

Curious if anyone has tracked down a good way to limit fuel/air ratio, so as to minimize smokescreen. Also, what are the differences between LLY (05) and LBZ injectors? Seems that the same PW provides greater performance on LBZ, but that may be the added pressure.

    IAT reads -40

"ambient" air temp, measured under hood, has always been silly to me. I wonder where these terms come from. I like IAT, and IAT2 better, but this assertion is probably too late for the software.

    IAT reads -40

I did not catch that it was an LLY. disregard. :) Interested in nomenclature source also.

    IAT reads -40

It's been a while since I did this, but as I recall, the reading at the MAF sensor is AAT. IAT is well downstream after CAC. This is 06 and on, using EFILive to evaluate heat conditions, not sensor voltage specifically, so Jon if your information conflicts with this (voltage verification)...

Help: Engine falls on its face during acceleration, NOT turbo lag!

ditto Tom's assessment. Change the fuel filter. Technology is great, but makes us overlook the usual suspects.

Loss of power on a hill??

As stated, or: CAC heat soak. I noticed the boost controller. More boost=more heat. It takes 20-30 seconds to feel a significant loss, as charge temps can rise over 100 F. Much more in the summer.
