    Grey smoke on startup

Yep. Or just live with it as you are living with a deleted truck and that is just going to be something you get. If it had the DPF you'd likely never even know if it did it If it's only doing it when cold. Maybe it's tune related with either fuel pressure or timing

    Grey smoke on startup

With a bidirectional scan too, you can shut off one injector at a time to see if it clears up or reduces. That should help narrow it down

    Direct message transfer to forum/thread

Understand. I was hoping for a move thread or post option like we have for regular threads. But of privacy is a concern, I understand.

    Direct message transfer to forum/thread

Cougar and darkness nailed it better then I did I've done this. But sometimes it grows and you start to realize that this should be public as it's good content with nothing truly private about it. But keeping the thread by copy/paste isn't as practical if you want to keep the users the same.

    Direct message transfer to forum/thread

Occasionally I get people asking me questions about tuning, electronics, or otherwise. Not typically something that needs to be private. Would be nice if there was a method, at least for moderators, to be able to move it to another thread like we can for normal threads Is this possible?

    PID files

Make sure you're selecting the correct ECM. And also validate the pids first. Test out different pids as there are sometimes multiple pids for the same parameters or sensor

Looking for guidance and backup support before flashing LB7 (EFILive / LDS tunes / DSP5 / emissions)

Sounds incredibly low. I thought I remembered many stock trucks dynoing in the 200's at the wheels Maybe it's because it's an emissions dyno and not calibrated for accurate numbers???

Looking for guidance and backup support before flashing LB7 (EFILive / LDS tunes / DSP5 / emissions)

Interesting. In California, it's a BS throttle snap test where the tech rapidly presses the throttle and watches the smoke. Highly subjective even with the "guidelines" given. No rollers

I'd love too. Would have to figure out timing, to make sure I could fit everything in. Still probably a way's away though

Don't have anything specific planned. I have 180hrs. built up ready to use. But two problems. I lost my backup maintenance guy due to medical issues. And my GF doesn't have much hours built up yet. But on the wish list is: Yosemite, yellow stone, glacier NP, and a few smaller ones I'd like to...

High EGTs w/ KB Diesel 64mm

It would overboost and underboost, throw codes and likely go into limp mode reducing fueling. Depending on how much larger the turbo is over stock

    Fuel tank balance

Moved to fuel Two notes regarding this. One, the fuel gauge is weighted or averaged. Two, the transfer pump doesn't run to keep the takes equal, the engine only draws from the front tank. So, it wouldn't make sense to keep both tanks at the same level. If I remember correctly, it's something...

They put your truck on the rollers for emissions testing? Even California doesn't do that. And, I've never seen an emissions roller capable of HP testing.
