Know how to build a wiring harness?

You have to either keep the bcm for the ecm to turn the fuel on, use a vats bypass module to bypass the bcm, or have vats turned off in the ecm tuning.

Info: How much has tuning improved in the last 10 years?

Yes, but narrowing the injection window will allow you to run more power through a stock bottom end. This has been proven several times over.

2020 Silverado 1500 Ecodiesel anybody going to buy one?

And a belt driven oil pump that requires replacement at 150k miles which requires trans removal to do. Was watching a vid on it the other day and this blew me away that they're using a wet belt to run the oil pump when everything else is chains.

Info: How much has tuning improved in the last 10 years?

As a couple of people started monitoring cylinder pressure, I think a better understanding of what was causing the failures was discovered. And instead of just shoving more fuel in with stock injectors it's now understood you need to address pulsewidth to narrow the injection window, and get a...

2020 Silverado 1500 Ecodiesel anybody going to buy one?

It's a 9.5" 12 bolt rear axle. And the video posted by tfl showed the axle and it looked like the small tubes with the bigger center section, but they list them with 33 spline axle shafts. The 1500hd got the regular 9.5" 14 bolt axle. The hybrid axle was when GM took the 9.5" 14 bolt center...

2020 Silverado 1500 Ecodiesel anybody going to buy one?

I was just reading an article a little while ago about this. They said it's not the truck, but has to do with underhood heat management with the inline 6. They used an inline 6 so they could get the exhaust treatment system's as close to the engine as possible to improve mpg's, but this comes at...

    LMM: Tech 2 Questions

That's the one I have and can say mine works and does everything. When they say truck's, I think they're talking about semi's, not pickups. The tune files I've been able to flash and save have more than covered the cost of the tech2 to me.

    EFILive Exhaust Brake via T/H

The CTS2 will only work for LB7/LLY, LBZ/LMM have to be hardwired.

    EFILive Exhaust Brake via T/H

You don't for LB7 in any case since they're a wastegated turbo, vgt was lly+.

    EFILive Exhaust Brake via T/H

If you set the veins so they don't close until 2500, it will hardly ever engage unless you're in tow/haul mode. That's how I did it for single tunes and never had anybody say it kicked in except when in tow/haul mode.

Recommendations on zero turn mowers wanted

I learned how to do it on a Dixie Chopper. It was one of the ones that could cut grass running 11-12 mph back when that was considered fast(mid 90's). It only had a 22hp kohler, but it would wheely like crazy. We had it down to cutting the average lot in under 3 minutes for the trailer parks we...

Recommendations on zero turn mowers wanted

I learned how to run them with 1 hand when I was 15 working for a lawn service. When you get good enough, you can stand it up on just the back 2 tires to spin them around for 180 turns.

Recommendations on zero turn mowers wanted

I've got a Gravely ZT52HD with a 24HP Kawasaki on it. It's 6 years old with right at 400 hours on it. The only things I've done to it is change the oil & filters yearly, had to put a drive belt on it at 360 hours, and a few odds and ends here & there. It has been about as trouble free as...

PPEI Next On The Chopping Block???

The EPA's hooks made it to the other side of the globe to EFILIVE. I've also been reading that Canada is currently closing it's loopholes with there progressive push.

PPEI Next On The Chopping Block???

EFILive stopped writing/including options for tampering with emissions controls back in 15 when the EPA contacted them. I could see them taking out the ability to write your own .cax files in the future, and with them forcing you to update to get new vin licenses, you would be forced to accept...

PPEI Next On The Chopping Block???

Looks like I need to pick up that spare V2 and laptop I found. With efilive forcing us to update software to get new vin licenses(which they promised to never do), they could be forced by the epa to disable things in an update, and cut us off like hptuners did there customers(and not even want...

    99 FL60 mutt/conversion/repower project build

You can't put all the blame on International when Ford was doing all the tuning. The 6.0l held up pretty good for Navistar, but they only pushed it to 250hp. Ford put there tuning on it to keep up with the rest, and the rest is history. Now the 6.4l is just a nightmare. Knew somebody who had one...

    01 S10 2.2L tuning problems

Maybe try over at gearheadefi and see if anybody has a .xdf for your .bin. It may work with the DIY project going on. I know they've done alot with the P01, working on the P59, and doing dome V6 stuff.

    99 FL60 mutt/conversion/repower project build

That's the new Kodiak's basically. Same truck, different grill as the new medium duty's. After Ford cut ties with International, they teamed With GM to build these. International does the trucks and GM does the power train.

    LMM A/C issues

The magnet was probably fine(it's just an electro magnet coil), the clutch gap was probably too large for it to pull closed when hot. This is a common issue on anything with more than 100k miles. I've lost track of how many clutches I've re-gapped for people that other shops said needed a new...
