    Do they have reservoirs inside the boat for the outdrives like 90+ mercruiser's, or are they sealed? Do you have a way to monitor the outdrive temps? Sounds to me like they're running hot, then creating a big vacuum inside of them when they cool off, and sucking in water.

    You can cheap out now and do them 3 or 4 times and hope you don't hurt your engine running crap injectors, or pay now for quality. I would also recommend lincoln diesel.

    Unless you're burning through a tank of fuel every few days, I always recommended my customers put biocide in there fuel. My Suburban doesn't get driven much, so I keep biocide in it to prevent this. Biocide is cheap compared to going through 20 racors on a trip because your tank is full of growth.

    The l5p alternator won't work on an lbz or older. Up to the lbz gm used the 4 pin regulator, lmm+ went to the 2 pin regulator that works with the charge control module.

    I ONLY use OEM stats, aftermarkets don't have the seals in them around the discs and will not maintain temp idling. I use my vacuum tank and pump out about 1.5 gallons when I change the t-stats.
