Looking for an OBD2 to V2 cable

Mines been broke for years. I loop the cable around the V2 when I'm flashing so it can't fall out. Then I lucked out and picked up a like new V2 off craigslist for free, and nabbed the cable out of it.

Looking for an OBD2 to V2 cable

    It's an rj45 ethernet plug on the V2 side I believe. https://www.efilive.com/flashscan-v2-obdii-cable.html

House HVAC issue while on generator power.

On mine running on genny power I noticed the inside fan doesn't run at normal speed, it ran much slower. Most all newer AC units and especially higher SEER units use motors that are called constant torque(my AC friend called them X13's) meaning they vary there RPM's so that they maintain the...

Best place for temp sending unit Allison 1000? PPE aluminum pan???

Yes, which is right next to the pan. My sender is in the very front of the pan by the filter and it reads VERY close to what the data stream shows for trans temp.

LML fan clutch on an LLY?

The 09 van fan and fan clutch will directly interchange with the lb7/lly fan clutch. It is an evc design like the lml. Several 6.5 guys have swapped them in and use a temp sensor in the head to trigger a relay to engage it. You will have about a 20-30 second lag in this setup from when it is...

In need of a good LMM DSP5 tune

Efilive does not allow reverting firmware or hardware versions. Old tunes should load in fine to newer software, it was trying to out tunes that were saved with a newer version into older software that was the problem. I would ask over at efilives forum and see what they say.

    Time to Rebuild

Corsa muffler, I get wide open flow, but don't have to deal with all that noise(at least not inside, outside is another story).

    lb7 dsp5 help

LB7's can be a pain to flash. Make sure your battery is good, or even better put a trickle charger on the battery. The lb7 ecm is similar to the p01/p59 pcm's and they recommend staying at 13 volts to 13.8 volts on them during flashing to help reduce bricking. If this is an 03-05, be certain it...

    What kind of clutches?

What about regular alto power packs? Many people put many miles on them with no problems when that was all there was.

    Twins with Twins, Anyone?

I would be concerned about growth in the tanks running bio in a marine environment. I know bio is supposed to attract moisture better than diesel does, and that would create a higher chance of bacterial/microbial growth. At the least you should add biocide every fillup to combat it.

Front Differential Gear Whine on Deceleration - Yukon 4.56

Have you tried rotating the front driveshaft while it is in 2 wheel drive? Just because the front tires are not pulling does not mean the front axle is disengaging, only thst the transfer case is disengaged. In 2 wheel drive with a functioning CAD, the front diff should barely spin if at all...

    LLY to LB7

Yes, the 03-04 harness will plug right in. There are a few changes you will have to make like swapping out the 1 wire oil pressure sender for the 3 wire pressure sensor, and since yours is an 01 I believe you will have to alter the boost sensor wiring as GM moved it and slightly changed the...

    LLY to LB7

The thread you're thinking about was using an LLY top end on an LB7 short block with LB7 electronics. The OP is trying to do the OPPOSITE, he is trying to put an EARLY LB7 into an LLY truck. That involves swapping EVERYTHING over to 01-02 wiring, and even swapping the fuel tank. To the OP, if...

    LLY to LB7

01-02 is a COMPLETELY different wiring architecture than 03-07. They do NOT just interchange. You won't find much info for putting an 01 into an 04 as most pull LB7's yo put in LLY's. You have opened up pandora's box to be honest. This will be alot of custom wiring. And do NOT assume that just...

    Banks D866T

You're thinking individual consumer, I believe this item is more targeted towards the military and government(ours AND other's). You know, those who don't care what it cost's, it's only taxpayers money, so it's free for them.

I don't know ANY of this to be factual, but I had heard the current versions are L5P long blocks, but converted over to use an E35B ECM(LMM tuning), and LMM turbo.

    Electric fans on LML ecm.

Having them run all the time would defeat the purpose of going with electrics over an engine driven imo. You're probably going to be better off going with an aftermarket PWM fan controller, setting it up to work on engine temp, but also add a switch to the intake to turn the fans on if intake...

    Lb7 radiator

Guess I'm the minority. I put in a Spectre back in 09. The only issue I had was the nuts that hold the trans cooler tight loosened up and coolant started weeping around them. Tightened them up 4 years ago and it's still going.

    Engine coolant temp

I noticed when I put in new ac delcos that they didn't open until 10 degrees hotter than there rated temp. I used to cruise at 185 and I now cruise at 195 also. That said, 195 won't hurt a thing imo. In my experience, diesels tend to get there best mpg's right on the edge of overheating. A...
