    No. All you need is to run a wire to the ECM...you can google it, there are plenty of DIY articles out there for doing high idle on 2001-2007 trucks. This thread and BCM tuning discussion is for the 2007.5-2014 trucks only. There will never be any BCM tuning for 2001-2007 trucks.

    Yep! All you need is my BCM tune. Set the parking brake, press the cruise control "on" button, and press the cruise control "set" button....then it will idle up to 1200rpm and show a DIC message indicating high idle is on.

    Just got an update from Kyle who now has my custom BCM tune up and running on his LMM. Im happy to report LMM's do not need an ECM tune update to enable manual high-idle. :cool: All you need to add LMM manual high idle via the cruise control buttons is just my custom BCM tune. :thumb: Ben

    Kyle I compared your VIN and another truck just like yours with the same options. https://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web and all of the BCM calibration part numbers came up identical....so Im thinking on your truck, the BCM itself was never actually flashed, it was just the heated seat module...

    Yes I can do that....first reflash your BCM back to stock so the VIN then matches everything again. And then I can build you a custom calibration so everything will work correctly. :thumb: Ben

    VIN changing is not available in the BCM. Because if you change the VIN in the BCM, you will screw up just about everything else in the interior...the stereo, XM, park-assist, backup camera, theft, etc.

    I can look through the 07-08 BCM calibration differences....my gut feeling is that its in the instrument cluster calibration though, not BCM. Is there any way you can temporarily swap in a newer cluster? Then if the lighting works, then we know its in the IPC calibration for sure....

    I already thought of that....but no dice. :( I tried flashing my 2012 nav unit with Canadian, Mexico, and Middle-eastern calibrations....all of them seem to have video in motion blocked out. I know the parameter IS in there.....I just have to find it the really hard way...ie throwing darts...

    BCM tuning is $299 The BCM uses a "TCM" license spot on your V2/Autocal. So as long as you have a free TCM license (most people do), you're good to go. Otherwise, you'll need to buy another VIN license from EFILive.

    No, thats in the nav unit software unfortunately. It will never be possible to flash the nav unit software with EFILive because the radio is on low-speed GMLAN. The V2/Autocal doesnt have the hardware in it to communicate/flash on the low speed bus.

    Keep in mind, this model BCM was first introduced in 2006 and it was designed around 2002ish....its extremely unlikely that GM will ever come out with any future software updates for it at this point. I think the most recent GMT-900 BCM-related TSB and software update was like 4 or 5 years...
