The one with the yellow connector is the airbag module. Google says the other one is the yaw sesnor (for stabilitrac).- JoshH

It's probably your interface module that integrates the door dinger and steering wheel controls. They can really screw with data communication circuits. -

Actually, that gives me a better idea. You could reuse the bracket that the EGR cooler bolts to that use those bolt holes in the back of the head.- JoshH

You can get it off if you heat the gear. I've done it before. Being that the valves are perpendicular to the piston, it is more likely that you bent push rods than bent valves if it was far enough out for valve to piston contact. I would pull the valve covers and check valve clearance before... -

The easiest way to tell if the gear has spun is make sure the key slot in the gear is still in line with the pin for the balancer. -

I'm not sure I would try securing the exhaust to the body. There is a lot of movement between a motor and cab especially on a high power truck. I would be worried it tearing up either the body where it is attached or the exhaust.- JoshH

Are you 100% certain the gear on the crank did not spin? -
Lb7 crank no start 6k rail pressure
These injectors get constant voltage and have a switched ground. What you're describing isn't an accurate way to verify injector firing signal, and a normal multimeter won't react fast enough. You really need a lab scope to check voltage while cranking. -

The keyway on the cam won't cause a cam/crank correlation code because the sensor reads the gear rather than the cam itself. It can't see the position of the cam has moved in relation to the gear. It can cause cam timing issues, but it won't set a code. The code that is set says the cam and... -

I'm wondering if you have the cam gear out of time or if the gear has slipped on the crank. If that P0016 code is persistent, it tells me there is an issue there that needs to be addressed. Perhaps the problem was always there, but maybe it has worsened to the point the cam timing is making it... -

Share a link to that kit and let us know how it works for you. I have only had to deal with a broken glow plug once (actually was brought to me already broken), and after many failed attempts at welding a nut to it only to have it snap off further and further down, I had to pull the head. -
