I just dealt with aeration in the hydraulic system on one of my forklifts. Root cause => clogged strainer. Symptoms, besides the aeration, was a loss of hydraulic pressure. A cavitating pump will aerate the oil and drop your pressure.

But, what do I know.

Well got the TFS heads back.. they didn't find anything wrong, all runners hold vacuum..

Did you ever figure out the backfiring through the intake?

Seeing that after I swapped heads to a back up set of MK6 vortec heads.. when I pulled the TFS heads off ...
all those problems went away...

Well since the engine normally lives in my wagon, might as well put wagon updates..
Definitely not great at all the welding angles..

Still got to weld rear foot well in.
