Well final pulled the plug on SDP for finishing my truck build. They have till the end of the month to get as much done as they can before it goes to the new shop. They have had it for 1.5 years to get it done. They have let me down and I've gave them more then enough time to do and then some. That's the latest and greatest.

Well fellas its been a while since I gave an update on my truck. While the truck has been at a new shop its been steadily getting worked on. The new guy Jason has been doing some great work on it. From working on the main engine harness and making sure thing are cleaned up as much as possible, but still keeping things easily to get to and work on it if need be.

I talked with him frequently about things I wanted done and he bounces ideas off of me, that he thinks will be beneficial to me which is nice.

This weekend he is going to finish up the fuel supply and finish running power cable and possible have power to the truck by the end of this weekend. So we are getting close to having some smoke in the pipe.

Its definitely been a long road to get to this point with alot of let downs, not by Jason. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now.
Jason has been awesome throughout this whole time and I couldn't be more pleased with his transparency and his attention to details.

I will take some video of the first fire up of the socal diesel 7.1L stroker and post it up here via YouTube when that time comes.

Thanks for following along, I know its taken forever, trust me I know. Im sure some of you thought that I didn't have the truck anymore but, here is proof ?.

Went up to see the truck this weekend and brought some parts to be installed and some to be installed when its time.
I swapped out the stock trans crossmember for a firepunk unit. Its a really nice piece and bolted right up with no issues. Roughly 14lbs lighter then stock and helps with ground clearance since my truck is lower then stock height.

Also started transferring wires from the plastic bale connectors of the engine harness and getting them in their new home on the Maven performance bulk head style connectors.

Jason my friend who is helping me put the truck back together, has a buddy who has the capabilities to CNC machine parts. He made billet aluminum bracket that sits on top of the socal diesel coolant bypass using the same holes the bypass uses to mount to the SDP bypass bracket. Its a really nice thought one off piece.

Also got the motion raceworks breathers installed. Had to do some machining on the underside of the socal valve covers to make them work for the mounting hardware, and ended up working out. Dont worry the fuel rail ports weren't exposed for to long lol.

Threw the headlight buckets on and some cheap ebay lights after getting some hardware from hicksville auto recycles.

Anyways should be all buttoned up and ready for some driving in April from what jason told me. Truck only really gets worked on during the weekend, since he has his main job during the week. Happy with the progress we are making, and will definitley be at the tracks this summer.

Well, its running fellas, and took it down the road for the first time in 5 years! Man im still smiling from yesterday. Have some minor things to finish up, but that's about it. Probably bring it home in a couple weeks, as I will do some more driving up near where Jason's shop is at just in case we have some things pop up, I doubt it though.

Here's the proof 😆.
