    Tuning 100% Over Injectors

    Good tuning is gonna help but only so much can be done. Compression ratio is going to be the biggest factor in this anything 16.1 and lower is gonna be smokey on start up till it warms up a bit.

    Put a pressure gauge in the cooling system. If your exceeding cap pressure (15psi) you could have a problem. If your coolant tank is too small it should puke out excessive coolant and pressure should level out but if pressure stay at 15psi or more all the time you have issues.

    Just a idea but did you trying switching the cam and crank sensor? They are will fit in either spot and it won't run or will hard start had this happen long time ago can't remember the exact symptoms. This would throw codes for cam position sensor.

    Seem like alot more things involved to run 14mm heads studs. You have to get your block machines to accept 14mm head studs and special head gaskets and get your heads machined out. Do it all over again if you have to replace one of them things.

    I bet the injectors made the difference especially if you ran the same tune. Can't see how you would gain hp by dropping compression in that set up

    I could be looking at this the wrong way but cylinder pressure= power? To much can be hard on parts. I think the dynamic compression ratio would be lower at 12:1 if they were running same size turbo bringing down cylinder pressure. Must be some advantages to running low static compression ratio...
