How do you like it and any issues? Seems like we have the same taste lol that's my next this as my cv shafts are horrible since I leveled it all the way. Even kept the factory keys.

Would love some input from you Guys ... In order to get things level in my truck I have about 4 turns on the passenger key and 0 on the driver, everywhere I've ever been or trucks I have seen have the key turned more on the driver side. Anyone??

Torsion bars not aligned

Nick or anyone have you experienced any issues with the torsion bars aligning? I noticed when I put everything together the torsion bolts didn't line up with the slots in the torsion keys.. I have to pry the torsion bar inward in order to get the bolt to go in the slot. If not the bolt will barely even hit the tip of the key???? Any insight here? Taken bars out twice I marked them before removal to begin with everything is back where it needs to be.

Take the preload back off and slide the key until it aligns? Hard to know exactly what your asking. I've done a lot of lifts/ keys and have never had an alignment issue like your saying

I know, its hard to explain. Ive had the bars out atleast 5 times trying to figure it out. basically if i slide the bars in the NTBD brackets on the A-Arm the bars are pointing then no quite parallel, or the bars are slightly facing outward as they go toward the rear of the truck. This wouldnt be an issue but the damn bolts wont line up with the slots in the keys unless you pry the bar over while someone tightens the bolts. It just doesnt seem right to me.

move the key toward the front/back of the bar more so its a straight shot (assuming im understanding what your asking). it can be really close and not cause an issues as that part sees no movement or very very little.

Unfortunately I have tried that. To try and explain a little more, basically if i take the bolt and threaded insert out of the cross member the bar with the key will spring towards the frame rail (outward) So you i have to use a pry bar and pry the key to where it needs to be and use a zip gun to get the bolt in the slot before relieving pressure off the pry bar.

Get rid of the lowering keys, CV's are level with factory keys. With all the Cognito kits we have installed, I've never run into this issue (never tried lowering keys though). It's possible that with the keys the angle of the front NTBD bracket is causing the TB to push toward the frame.

there will be deflection in a torsion bar setup. the bar has to move in a circle no matter how you set it up. some of these NTBD setups amplify the deflection or circle it has to move. Fabtech is not really a lift i would base your issues off of. some of the engineering in their kit is sub par at best.....

are you running the bars turned all the way down?

Both factory keys and lowering keys have this issue

I contacted Cognito to see if they were aware of any casting flaws in the NTBD bracket, they have not had any other issues. Are you 100% sure the TB's didn't get swapped side to side, and are now sprung the opposite direction, making it easier to tweek the TB? A little is normal, but never had it to where the bolt would not index the key.
