LML Rear main leak?

Changed the oil on my LML this morning and saw what looks like a rear main leak. Do you guys agree?

Anyone know if this is covered under the 5 year 100k powertrain warranty? It's a 2011 truck with 87k miles on it, completely stock. I don't want to take it to the dealer unless I'm pretty confident I know what this is and that it will be covered, not interested in paying a "diagnostic fee" and having them tell me it's not warranty.

Yep. Oil pan leak. Had to have mine done too. Dealership fixed it under warranty.

Dealer has had it for a week. Says they see that it's leaking but can't find it's origin. Supposedly put dye in the oil and were driving it to try to get the leak to show itself. I was supposed to hear back from them Saturday but no call.

Pretty obvious to me that it's coming from inside the bellhousing, which I'm sure is why they can't see the origin.

Even if they don't fix it now, at least it's on paper that I brought it in for a leak and that they acknowledged it but couldn't locate the source. Might help later on after it's out of warranty.

Midway is usually pretty good about this stuff. hopefully they take care of you. I had some pull there a while back but have since lost touch with them.

Seen several leaky lower oil pans on the early LML's and also leaking turbo drains, which would be easy to spot. Leaky rear main have not seen on an lml yet..

Got it back yesterday, ticket calls it seepage and says they could not pinpoint the leak. I'll just keep an eye on it and take it back if it gets bad.

that sucks... try brake cleaning it all off and see how long it takes to come back. might give you a better trail to follow back too
