Do not like how my truck feels in 4x4

Alright.. So this might all be a simple issue. But I was just pissing around today and threw my truck in 4x4 and boosted it up to about 10 psi and then let her go. Didn't mash it the whole way down just about 3/4. It was all I could do to hold onto the wheel it was shaking so bad and pulling to the left. :(.

I'm curious if its because I am leveled? I have my stock keys cranked the whole way with cognito uca's, steering braces, and rate parts HD tie rods. So the strength is there. But I am not sure if being leveled is hurting me that badly or if theres something else wrong. I mean it feels bad. Are the diffs in these trucks that shitty? My rear about half works and half doesnt. Really don't wanna buy new diffs I just did head gaskets, turbo, injectors... I don't know if its gonna hurt me pulling at all, but theres no way I can drag race if it runs like this. Obviously I was gonna drop my t bars before I would even attempt either one of those things.

Mainly just wanted to know if my little half assed trial launch was an indicator of bad things or if I just need to drop the front  Thanks guys

Alright well that solves that problem. I never ever put my truck in 4 even in the winter really so I am not too familiar with how theyre supposed to act. Nor have the t-bars ever not been cranked the whole way up. Just finally decided to take the dive into pulling and a few track runs this summer so I wanna make sure shes all good :thumb:

Incorrect. What your truck is showing is that your CV's have way more leverage than what you have upgraded. As Jason said, lower your tbars all the way and you wont have issues.

Yeah I simply meant the strength to not bend shit all out of wack. I learned that lesson about 2 years ago :roflmao:. I'll lower them this week and go piss with it some more.

Even my truck with cranked bars will do that and I have just as much upgraded stuff up front as you do. Plus, when our front end lifts, it has even more leverage. Even if your bars are flat, when your launch their not flat anymore, figure the front of the truck lifts 6" or so.

Making a little more sense now. I usually baby my truck so thats why this was alarming to me. Good to know that I just need to lower them. Like I said, I had planned to before the track, I am just overly cautious..

Does adding a locker to the front diff help for launches on pavement, concrete, dragstrip etc? I would think if both tires would pull together instead of fighting traction it would tend not pull left to right but help it go straight.

I would also agree that the tbars tie rods and all the other junk ifs stuff would have to strong enough to handle the traction.

Lower your t bars and no locker for the track, unless you plan on blowing something up. Front lockers are for off road use only

Was curious about that myself. I think a locker would help things out up there.

I wouldn't... If I'm drag racing I want to be able to steer if something bad happens. We don't turn our lockers on when drag racing. Pat had tried it in Casper and it didn't make any difference.

Ok good to know that ahead of time. These trucks are always a learning experience. Started on suspension, moved to trans, then turbo's, now diffs... Haha my trucks slowly getting to where I want it.

Even with a straight centerlink, and HD tie rods, my friends lifted LMM here in PHX would toe in quite a bit wioth hs 6" lift. Ive also seen a stock height LMM with twins here in PHX run 12.60's with a stock front end setup, only bars were dropped.

I thought your truck had a regular lift kit! Don't do anymore launches until ya crank it down.

Whenever you want to go to the track let me know. I'll come out and give ya hand setting it up.

Nope just as far up as stock would let it go. Never saw a need for anything else. I'll def let you know when I plan to go out. I'll prly need a little coaching so I can actually lay down a good time in this thing. I've seen what you and Jake can do for times with similar HP to me so I think good things will happen.

This year is my first endeavor into competition. I usually just drive because its fun... haha. Excited to pull too, our local fair has a Butler country registered only class. Finally hoping to shut the whole town up and show em theres no dodge that can f%ck with me. Usually draws a huge crowd so I wanna get that right too..
