I was pulling a log by my hunting camp today in 4 wheel low. I tried to switch it back in neutral all of a sudden it started grinding bad would not go into 2 wheel drive. I turned off the truck and tried again still was grinding and not switching. No codes everything else is in check.

Some trucks are just a :witch: to get out of 4wd low. Blue is one of them.

If you read Gm tells you to put the truck in N first and the parking brake then switch to and from 4 low. That stopped it from acting up on me.

When mine was new it seemed like it would bind up from lots of shaft/gear tensions and it turned out putting it in Reverse just a few feet and D a few times pulling the shifter to find the release pt. I took it out one weekend and did like 60 miles of log roads in 4lo and that thing shifts like a dream now. I'm always afraid of breaking the linkage jerking on the shifter when it's bound up real tight, seen that from another deal.....
