What don't you understand? There's a couple names I don't recognize but looks like they didn't miss any steps. Limiting factor as it sits is the turbo size

You would've been the person who authorized the build, so why dont you understand what you asked to have built?

What were your circumstances for needing a built engine like that? Did you have the same turbo/fueling/tuning setup on a stock engine before, and blew that engine up?

You're going to have to explain yourself a lot better, bc we just dont understand why you wouldnt know why you spend upwards of $20K to build an engine.

I purchased this truck cheap. Everything is fine. I didn’t realize what I bought, that’s why I am asking. I got a build sheet from the original builder, that’s why I was asking for some knowledge.

For gosh sakes, you lead off with that info. :ROFLMAO:

Previous owner built the engine and trans for 700+ hp. Drag racing or sled pulling would be fun in that truck.

That makes far more sense now.

Im surprised theres no cam in it yet has stg 2 heads. Cam would help make that turbo come on faster.

That said, your good for 1000hp. Those rods are rated at 1000 but i know they have been tested beyond that number. Thats the “limiter” technically.

If you want a nice daily, put a smaller valley turbo and drive it or if you want quick spool and big power, smaller valley turbo and then compound it.

I would bet some good tcm shift point tuning would help you too to make it work as is. Of you want to keep what you have but make it better: tcm tuning and a cam shaft.

Could definitely benefit from a better turbo. I would run a 72mm ball bearing with a 87 turbine. That would easily make 800hp and have good street manners. If you’re towing kinda changes things haha

TX of course
What do you mean make the truck better? What do you think needs improvement? Better for us might be making it faster. Better for you might make it slower. This is not normally a truck normal people daily drive. Can it be of course but there are tradeoffs. You're driving a truck that makes triple the factory power. Also how much money are you willing to spend? Remember we are all performance guys here, so your situation is a little unique.

Exactly. Better how? Better at the track? Better at the truck pull? Better for DD?

Read the above in a Joe Pesci voice. Funny how? Like a clown? I amuse you?

I feel like the turbo should ignite sooner but like you said it’s not a daily I have to manually down shift on highways because it will literally smoke the whole interstate out doing 75 in 6th gear it’s 3 psi can you adjust shift points the truck shifts so fast to top gear and I appreciate the feedback I’m used to a Lbz with bolt on goods and efi

Do you know who's tuning is in the truck? Could be the tuning wasnt changed for the new build.

Post 11 and 13 explained how to make it more drivable on the street.

We have no idea what you want to use the truck for. Is it simply a high-powered daily? Track use? Sled pull?
Most of us here would have a lot of fun with a truck like that.
