Since my 2022 L5P (CC/SB) was practically brand new the rear brakes squeaked horribly... at 50,000 miles the rear brakes were smoked, metal on metal with the front brakes being practically new... I don't tow heavy, a 10,000lb trailer maybe for 1,000-2,000 miles of the 50k. I just swapped new rotors and new pads in the rear this afternoon oh and one new caliper (passenger side rear). The caliper that was switched started leaking from the lower piston seal which resulted in my losing all braking (scary)... Back to the initial question, why wear so quickly?

Im not sure but im noticing this is becoming an issue on alot of 2021+. My detailer has a 24 and his resr inner pad is down to 1mm on both sides. The outer is damn near new. Has 28k on it. Another 2021 came in and rear pads were shot at 40k.

Neither of them let me do a diag/replacement on them as they are fighting the dealer so i dont know what the issue was.

So far, brakes on erins 2020 are still tits with 64k on it

Very strange... i'll post some pictures of the rotor one the rear passenger. Metal on metal doesn't quite do the carnage justice, one of the pads went missing when I had the truck towed home. The pistons on the caliper were practically frozen. When the truck was new I called the dealer asking about how fucking noisy the brakes were, I received the "Brakes are a wearable part, if you want us to diagnose it'll be $250 for a diagnostic fee". I said fuck it, i'll drive the truck into the ground.

Honestly, i flat out don't like my 2022, I mean the features are nice and all but I hate the 10 speed, the stock tune is dog shit, seats are shit and the sheet metal on the truck is so thin any amount of pressure creates a depression in the body. Theres a 2005 single owner LLY CC/SB completely stock local to me, i'm probably going to pick it up, 111,000 miles.

See you in the LLY section, then. You might be able to offer some insight into the FUCM for Jason, too.

Does the truck have adaptive cruise? I know on my 24, the cruise will use the brakes instead of engine brake when towing or trying to hold speed downhill. 36,000 miles and the fronts say they are in the 60% range.

Also when I drop speed on cruise by more than 5mph it uses the brakes to get the speed in check vs letting the truck coast.

Honestly, if it does I don't use it... Not many places around here to use cruise control... damn California :D
