When got my truck 12 years agon and told me OnStar wouldn't work, she tried ma a by calling OnStar and they didn't think could turn on. I wonder if anybody has working OnStar and working cell phone is you vehicle 202 like mine. Mine comes on and says call and when I try it says call log empty and goodbye. The OnStar turns on gives an advertisement for OnStar. If so, did it cost if you could do it

Cell service signals have all changed since the introduction of your truck. So no, you can’t connect anymore.
They switched from analog to digital. I think some of the last systems could be retrofitted by the dealer But I doubt there are any modules left. Like my 05 I believe could have been retrofitted.
IIRC, there's info out there from Ben (DuraToTheMax for those new people) on what was required to swap in a digital Onstar module. IMO, its a waste of time anymore bc i dont think even those modules are compatible with 5G.
You are most likely correct.
At this point in time it's a waste of time on a 20+ year old vehicle any way. You might as well just swap to a newer radio that has apple or android Auto features any way.
