Anyone have any leads on some H series rod bearings? My machine shop got P bearings and measured .0022. So then I ordered them HX bearings and they measured .004 for clearance. I need to find some H bearings to measure just them, or mix and match them with the hx. Can not find any available anywhere.

Let me see what I have tomorrow. I went through an Ordeal trying to get the right clearance on mine. I will see If I can dig them up. I think the stupid mains went through 2 sets of HX to get the right clearance. The first set wasn't much of any difference as the H's. And since you can't return them after you open the fucking things, and you have to open the fucking things to check the damn clearance.... like $700 later in bearings I was finally happy with what I had. I am fairly certain I went full HX rods and Main. but the mains took 2 tries...

Otherwise hit up @Bdsankey he may be able to locate a set through his sales network.

Didn't know it was that bad again. They need to get it together over there...

In the LS world, I have not had an issue with the Kings. Infact they were more consistent IMO. I stopped messing with the clevites on them.

I would have tried them on my duramax, however the cost is or was noticeably more when I did mine.

I am headed out shortly. I will see what I have as it's been atleast year and I don't recall what I ended up with.

I found the mains.... but that doesnt help you. What I thought were rods appears to be some mains for an LS... they were MS-2199P

Good luck man, H bearings are impossible to get right now. Mahle is telling companies sometime in June/July to expect them.

I've used King on the last few engines. After talking with the folks at DHD, they work well but are a touch harder than the H series bearing.
I can find kings in stock, messaged Nick at Dhd and he said they don’t like the quality of them and won’t use them. So either use possibly an inferior product or wait even longer for the clevite h bearings. Truck broke a crank 10/2023, been down since. Would be nice to get it together before summer though

Not able to find any standard size race king bearings either. Only the standard x which are extra clearance like the clevite hx. Is .004 too loose with the hx? Otherwise I may put an order in with jegs for the standard clevite h and see how long it takes. Says 5/19 estimated ship date but I’m guessing will continue to be extended.

Nick works in sales, not the engine department. Evan and Chad are the engine department.

Evan has no issue with them in 800-1200hp engines, he simply prefers the H series.

Yes I’m aware of Nick being sales and Evan being the engine builder. They’ve both been great to talk to and ask questions, until I started asking them bearing clearance /ring gap questions when my machine shop asked me to run some numbers by them that he got from mahle. All my parts to this point have been from Dhd.

At this point I will probably place an order with someone and wait on the clevite h. Jegs says 2 weeks but I would guess that would get extended a few times.

Callie’s rods and crank and the clevite hx rod bearings measured .004, h mains are at .003.

CN-1805H or HX, that’s the rod bearing.

Nobody had stock when I checked the other day when tagged. That was with 6 of the largest wholesalers in the USA including Summits wholesale entity.

Have not. But do they even have them? That flyer says 4th Quarter of 2025 for the con rods. Mains looks like they are available.
