Lb7 deck surface

In middle of doing injectors and head gasket I see this everyone is telling me with arp studs and good quality gasket it will be ok and that I’m over think it. What you guys think about the little stuff by firing ring

very common. your heads would have been worse. id be more concerned with deck warpage than those grooves and deck warpage is usually very minimal

Yeah the heads were bad my machinest called me yesterday telling me he took .010 the driver head and .08 off the passenger side and he’s recessing valve and checking guides and doing cups

not unheard off there either. factory guides dont last long in these rigs but glad your machinest knows to recess the valves when taking that much off. is he putting threaded in cups? i assume this is a LB7?
