edge insight vs dash readings

my edge insight pulling info from the OBD port is about 25% different from all gauges in dash

edge oil press = 42 Psi , dash = 60

edge coolant temp = 182 , dash = 210

edge urea fluid = 2-27% , dash = LOW

Which one you think is correct?

Mine reads very similar as far as being different then the dash. I go off my edge I think its more accurate, especially with coolant temp. I can watch it change as I drive harder where as on the dash it basically always reads 210.

Edge by far. My gauges were way off compared to actual temps and pressures.

Edge, for me is better. Guages to me are way off. Wish insight was bigger so i could fit more guages and i would just mount it over the factory panel.

hahahah remove the dash panel and place a IPAD in there, i do like the new DODGE 1500 screen panel in the center. It is like the TESLA panel. Wonder if they are going to dump truck data into that?

Still not worth a Dodge, but it is a cool feature. If it takes off big w the public we may see it in our 2023 $118,000 Duramaxs :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Only way to be sure is throw another gauge in there as a third variable. Whichever 2 are closest is likely the correct number.

It's highly likely the edge is accurate, the dash uses stepper motors so some of the accuracy is lost trying to convey the information, electrical doesn't lose it's info easily.

what about the DANALIs w the digital gauges in the dash? I thought that pulls the same info as the OBD port?

As long as the sensors are sending it the correct signals though. If they aren’t then it doesn’t matter what type of gauge you are plugging into it. Hence why I suggest gauge number 3 of some sort to take some of the unknown out of the equation.

Unless there is a programming issue in the edge I would agree though it likely is correct.
