Any turbo ls knowledge?

More I read the more towing with turbo ls is no good.. but I'm just towing a boat
Get a PD blower.
I can build a turbo kit for 1/3-1/4 the cost of a blower surely
No goals in mind. I ready 475s work well on 6.0s and they are readily available and cheap
472/475/480 etc all work well with the right exhaust housing on a 6.0. A 472/83/.90 T4 would spool great and make 700hp. Fueling and oil temps will be the most important factor to keep it alive towing. A good tune will have safety factors built in to keep it from leaning out if any part of the system fails.
We are running a 480/96/1.0 T4 on a forged 408 right now and it spools excellent from 2200rpms and up. The exhaust side is the limiting factor but it should be an easy 800hp. Need to bump up to a T6 96mm turbine for more than that.

If you go with high quality parts the savings is minimal really.
I'm gonna get out of the dmax owner game a little bit and buy a house. Already picked up a 6.0 tow rig but can't leave anything alone and have a spare 6.0

Buy one of those take off lsa blowers floating around and build a kit on the cheap. You can't beat a PD blower down low.

You will tax the cooling system quickly and 4th gear will be an issue if you try to use any of that power while towing. Trans will need a good build unless you keep it in 3rd under power pulling hills. We ran a whipple supercharger on my moms 98 cc/lb 454 GMC. Truck was lifted on 35s and towed a 35ft Alfa toy hauler and a 40ft weekend worrier. Had 75k on it when we sold it and a stock 4l80 but my dad never overly abused the truck when towing. Would always kick it to 3rd on hills and was always worried about breaking something so never really wooded it. Only time I remember was in pismo beach when we had to make a loop up into the soft sand. 30psi in the back tires, 25 in front and trailer down to 20 on all 6. 4 low 3rd gear, that motor and super charger sung a beautiful tune. We were the only truck of the camp to make the turn without getting stuck lol. Truck made somewhere in the 400-450 range on a cool day.

The rig I have now is a 200k Yukon Denali that's mint and I picked it up for a song. I ran across a 6.0 for a steal and the same on the 80e.. this thing runs damn good as is. But waking it up another 100hp would be tits.
