LLY: Single disk to 6 disk unlock with TIS and tech 2

Well after 4 1/2 hrs and 2 different dealerships My stereo works :rolleyes: First Tech and service manager were clueless then after nearly 4 hrs of getting jerked around they got pissed at me because I demanded my truck back. I was more then patient IMO but enough was enough. I went to another GM dealer 2 miles up the street and 30 minutes later I was on my way:) The second tech said he had to go back in and RE-Lock the unit and start over but it was no big deal. Either of us could figure out what the first tech with "30 years experience" (His words) was doing for 4hrs:confused:

Here it is...

Using a connected Tech2,

1. At the Main Menu screen, select: Diagnostics.

2. At the Vehicle Identification screen, select the following options:
- Model Year >>> (radio came from an 04 Escalade or whatever)
- LD Trk, MPV, Incomplete

3. At the System Selection Menu screen, select: Body

4. At the Vehicle Identification screen, select the following:
- Appropriate model
- Appropriate Air Conditioning
- Appropriate Radio

5. At the Body Screen, select: Appropriate Radio.

6. At the Radio screen, select: Special Functions.

7. At the Special Functions screen, select: VIN Relearn.

8. At the VIN Relearn screen, the scan tool will display "Do you want to clear radio theft information?"

9. To begin clearing, press the soft touch key on the top right of the scan tool. The scan tool will display "Clearing Radio Theft in Progress."

10. Press EXIT on the scan tool and cycle the ignition.
