This just showed up today need to replace my deteriorating Lisle set, these are supposed to handle alot more torque, came with the free FL80 and TL72 ratchets as well hard to beat if your looking for a good set of torx bits and could use some ratchets. http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/searchLN.asp?partno=209EFTXBYPK

The gold bits are nice. I DK why but I ended up with the standard ones. They haven't failed me though. I have too many of their bit sockets. Just got more too but they are not in the pic.

Also got a couple more Knipex pliers and my array of screwdrivers to test out. I think Wiha takes my vote and will be replacing all of my CMan stuff so that it can go to my house to be used for house repairs and not get beat up as much.

My Lights showed up too. 700 Lumen Zebralight H600W Headlight, uses 18650 batteries. And a Nitecore EC1. uses CR123 batteries. Very tiny, very bright.

I need to get some pictures when i have more time. Got a few new things for the shop.

I've been focusing on building my metal polishing and detailing arsenal lately. Got a Flex PE14 rotary polisher a few weeks ago, picked up a DeWalt DWP849X to run my metal polishing pads on and just placed an order that was way to big with autogeek that included a lot of Menzerna compounds, various other supplies and a Flex 3401 forced rotation DA polisher.

I like making things shine but I will be honest that I can be a bit lazy about it and the idea of polishing by hand wears off very quickly.

Thid picture kind of shows them but Ill get a better one when the next order shows up.

I just bought the knipex 10" Cobra pliers for $30 at lowes. Mac truck wanted $75 for the exact same ones. Btw, They are on sale there from I think $35. Get them while they still have them, the ones I got were the last ones they had. Love them. Better than any of the other Slip joint pliers I have used previously.

I bought the 5 piece set for around $200 IIRC from chads toolbox. Comes with 150mm,180mm,250mm,300mm,4??mm and 560mm. Then i bought the 250mm slim nose onea and the tiny ones seperate.

They are very nice. The fact they are self tightening is what realky sets them apart.

That looks to be the start of a beautiful shop just a hint i have 13 2 ft by 4 ft lights in my shop and its not eough i also did double outlets every 6 ft and sometimes its still hard to find and open 1 in the area i work in the most.Add plenty more in the wall that is going to be closest to the side of the lift. Also dont forget to run air lines in the wall (looks nicer).Theres a where do you do your truck work thread or something to that effect on here somewhere.

Some shop tools.

Alemite 18v Lithium grease gun. have a 12v and 14.4 already. Like them much better than the Lincolns we used to run.

20130316_132739_zpscb074e92.jpg

Hose reel and cord reels. Our extensions cords were always walking off, now these will be mounted permanently to the ceiling. Each will have an air hose reel next to it. The other 3 hose reels showed up the other day. 3/8"x70'

20130316_123150_zpsa7c57a59.jpg

Also go out Hypertherm Powermax 600 up and running. works slick as hell. Traded a broken skid steer for it.

20130316_143033_zps0223bce0.jpg

Finally moved into the 21st century and installed a refrigerated air dryer. Previously we had no dryer or filters. Still added an additional auxilary to the plasma though.

20130316_142959_zpsb76ca4b1.jpg

Also ditched floor dry and banned it from the shop, only using absorbent mats now. Much much nicer to deal with. Works best if you put them down anticipating a spill then store them away until fully saturated. They are very durable and hold up to a lot of traffic. When I do a transmission I just roll it out to cover the entire section under the truck, any little drip is caught but they hold up to they traffic. Do the same for HG's and injectors. Lay it down under the truck and if you spill, it catches it. Oil changes on semis and tractors same deal. works great.

An important tool is fluids, we were running cheap stuff from a small oil company and it was not working well for us, just switched to all Chevron products, mostly all their Delo line. Good products and much better service from the dealer. Can't wait until the new lube system that they designed for us is built and up and running. going to be pretty nice.

I just looked back through and realized I am behind on updating my end I guess.

Here's some of my recent hand tools.

MORE KNIPEX!!!!! Getting there, almost all red. I still have quite a few pliers I want to get from them, but I'll get it finished one day. I like their halogen bulb pliers. heck they even have a pliers for Scotchloks, Looks handy, but I hate scotchloks.

I've been on a Wiha kick lately

Sets of both SAE and Metric nut drivers to replace Cmans

20130316_133341_zpsd7e8c334.jpg

Ergo allen wrenches. Turn one wrench and all of them pivot, makes them easy to take out. They are very long though.

Set of HD Microfinish screwdrivers. Love the Microfinish, Wish I could get it on everything. Very nice tips, you can actually use a helped wrench without them camming out.

20130316_133209_zps9cf8126a.jpg

Wiha Magic Ball Allen drivers. They have a lock ring that holds the screw. very nice for Dmax valvecovers

Also started putting in my new drawer liners. I am using adhesive blue absorbent mats from New Pig. They work very nice. The top is slippery but tey do not move and bunch up like the snap on ones and really make the tools stand out.
