This sucks.....
I put the CTS2 programmer in my truck about 3 months ago. It is bad ass! My mileage went up to 15 from 12.5!
Anyways.....a few weeks ago I started getting a check engine light (U0101) in the mornings....especially when it was really cold (in the 20's) I could clear the U0101 and the CTS would work fine. Then about 2 weeks ago the CTS started shutting off ( I thought it was shutting off, read on).....after the gauges would initialize....it took 10 seconds exactly and it would go off. Edge sent me another cable and then a new CTS2.....It's still doing the going off/ blank crap! Edge Techs told me that the unit is losing a data signal and the CTS is going to sleep, not shutting down.
Ok. I read that the TCM could actually be the problem, especially since I also am getting a "service anti-lock brake system" message in the DIC once in a while. I replaced the TCM with a Ryan's Diesel Service pre-programmed new TCM.
I am still getting the damn CEL and many U0101 codes in the Edge.
Can anyone give me any suggestions as to what I should try next? This sucks.
