They syncros get wore and they become hard to shift quickly. Fourth gear is usaully the first to get sticky. The trans is very durable. Not many have managed to out right break one.
yea i have read the main thing as well is the syncros that will go out thats it. if you have run your factory clutch many miles past its replacement time iv seen the input shaft ware a bit on the splines all the above is easily rebuildable.
thats good to know cuse mine is shifting hard into 4th it has ground quite a few times when its really worked hard is 4th a 1-1 ratio ?? i was told we had a dubble overdrive or does any one have a ratio chart for them?
