Nitrous Tuning?

I am thinking of adding a 50-100HP shot of nitrous to my build. I am curious if it is necessary to have a tune done specifically for the nitrous? I know gas motors you want to remove timing I would think diesels would also need some adjustment in the injection timing area to make them last longer.

Not for that small of a shot. Just keep it under 30 @ 3k rpm. I mean your tune shouldnt be that ridiculous in the first place.

Don't spray under 2500rpm.

Got it, should be simple enough then. Didnt build the motor to hold a ton of nitrous so I didnt want to go crazy

Ideally, with a hot bottle (1200psi) a .67 jet is right at 80-100hp. with your injectors you have plenty of fuel on tap so I'd start small .040 range and work your way up. I didn't start giggling until around .067 jet, so I ran the .105 :rofl:

Same! Ive ran a straight shot from the solenoid no jet needed.

I know I have plenty of fuel available but I do not believe its all being added on the full race tune. I haven't had a chance to do a max power run as I still need to add some billet parts to the trans.
