Getting to be that favorite time of the year for everyone.:thumb:
The track is in Charlestown, IL.
Looking at starting up a meet and greet for 31 March at Coles County Dragway. They are having just a test and tune. But after having the trucks bundled up all winter, be nice to knock some cobwebs loose and rattle the track.
Looking at doing lunch before the track at Buffalo Wild Wings prob around 10:30-11:30am, depending on what everyones preference is, then heading to the track. Bdubs is only 2-3 miles from the track.
Gates open at 11 and racing is 12-6pm. It is only an 1/8th mile track though.
Here is a link the there schedule for the year, including the 3 diesel only races they will be holding.
Coles County Dragway - Schedule 2011
Also here is more information on the place.
Coles County Dragway - Home Page
Prices are $10 to spectate and another $10 to race.
I also talked to the track. if we have at least 6 trucks, they will offer us a diesel event of sorts. Heads up or dial in, our choice. They also guarantee 80% payout.
I don't think there would be an issue getting 6 trucks to race. Everytime I've been there there is a few dodge and ford guys there.
During the actual diesel events, there is 20-30 trucks.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
