Exhaust Smell Help

Not sure if I m in the right thread.

But fuel economy is lower and my exhaust smells like Elmers glue is that normal? any recommendations what I need to get looked at for my truck?

Sorry about your luck as your options are limited.

My lmm currently is getting 20.5 mpg hi way and 12-13 mpg towing a 14,000 lb trailer.

Delete it anyway and put the exhaust back on once a year for the inspection like a lot of people do

It is very difficult to convince me that any emissions equipment that makes a vehicle use more fuel could possibly be effective anyway. How about testing emissions based on work performed?

Not to sound stupid but if I get caught doing that can I get in trouble if so what are the penalties?

I know a few guys that do it in Tucson and phoenix and they just swap it out in their garage a day before the test.

I don't know what the penalties would be bit you would have to be ridiculously obvious about it to get caught I would think.
