Hey guys, just got a '12 Silverado 2500..looking to get some wheels..will be towing with it. Looking for recommendations on wheel/tire sizes, types of wheels to look for and tires as well.

Located in North NJ by Mtn Creek Resort

Thanks!

The most important thing is to get ten ply tires that are rated E or heavier. Other than that I’d say it’s preference.

Whatever you’re buying be it 17” 18” or 20” size, look at tire prices and selection in those sizes. That may help your decision.

TX of course
Personally I like to stick with OEM wheels because in the event you bust one there are plenty singles out there to replace it.
The finishes are some much better too. I can't count the people I knows who's aftermarket wheels look like trash after a few years.

I feel like it makes you less of a target for theft too. Seems like most people I know that get broken into have aftermarket wheels.
