Another cutch thread

Pretty sure I am going with a South Bend street dual disc. That seems like the best choice based on my research. My question is do any vendors on the site sell clutches? I looked over their websites but I was not able to find any clutches at all. Found that clutch on a couple sites for $1,164. Anyone know of it anywhere cheaper?

I heard if u get a sfi approved clutch from a dealer for less than south bend lists it on there site, they won't warranty it. Not sure just what I heard

One vendor explained to me if he sold below the agreed MAP price he could lose his authorization to sell the item and you have no warranty.

Yes South bend does have MAP pricing. If you have a part number I can look up the MAP price on the clutch you are looking at

In my opinion that's a fine price. I had over $4,000 in my Allison, I have under half that in clutch, slave cylinder, fluid and flywheel in my 06.

I can live with that all day

I agree for sure. Never hurts to look for a bargain though. I should have around $3500 in my complete conversion. Not including whatever I can sell my well used but still properly functioning Allison for. That's a lot less $ than a professionally and correctly built auto
