I have a question about the Allison transmissions I have a stage 5 Allison 1000 weather a stage 5 3des revmax torque converter from my 2002 Chevy now I have boughten a 2007.5 GMC 2500 HD with the six-speed I have heard that you can change the bellhousing valve body and the tell adapter to the transfer case and that will take my 5-speed and make it a 6-speed and be able to put it in the 07.5 does anybody know anything about that if it is true or not

Moved your post into its own thread. There is plenty of info on this subject in this section if you'd use the search function.....

Swap valvebody, nabu, internal harness. The tailhousings are the same. Swap the bellhousing or buy the right cooler line fitting adaptors and you are good to go.

Shouldn't the fitting adaptors swap from one bellhousing yo the other?

Aren't the thread sizes on the fittings different? I know there's something different on the 01 02 fittings.
