I have a S371, which is a custom modded S366 that is pretty similar to their new S372sxe, but without the fancy exhaust side turbine. I routinely blow the bearings out of it when turned up over 700HP, so I limit it to 660HP and it survives.

With their improvements to the exhaust side thrust handling and the new turbine, it can probably handle a bit more, so I am with Josh154: 750-800 HP will be the max if you want it to survive.

I am interested how the new exhaust side will spool. My S371 isn't too laggy, but if they can make this spool a bit better, that would be sweet. Really, though, I need to move to a compound setup, I can't get the power and drivability I want with a single.

The real question I have is would this hold up as the high pressure charger in a compound setup, or is it still wise to go to a S472 instead?

I think it is a 0.95 or a 1.0. I'd have to go check my records.

I have a billet S371sxe from Forced inductions as my valley charger and its very responsive. My only issue is the drive pressure because I haven't had a chance to get the gate tuned in. Other than that its great.

Works turbochargers make an sxe374/74/1.0 and will do some serious 800+ numbers gated. They make a mean charger and have been proven in the Midwest so far this past year. Especially since Midwest workstock pulling classes limit you to s300 frame chargers

That Work Turbocharger s374 is a beast and we beat the hell out of it with no issue's. After taking with Reed about my doubts of that big of wheel in a s300 he assured me there would be no issues and told me of the applications they were already being used in and I had 100% confidence in it and we had no issues.

Agreed. Reed knows his stuff and will build anything you'd imagine. Over 1k hp on Cummins trucks and they are proven. People have been saying the center section can't handle that big of wheel but they can prove themselves over time !

I’ve got a Danville 2.5 s300 right now but if they have a 374 I’m gonna have to call Mark and have a new one built. That 374 is definitely going to outperform a 369
