Default Gauging interest in fully built street truck

I am considering selling my 2006 ccsb 4x4 that has what I believe is a hole/cracked piston. I don't need to sell or necessarily want to, but depending on what I could get for it I would consider it. The truck runs, just has blow by and +10 balance rate on cylinder 3. Here the specs, I'm mostly looking to see what everyone thinks it is worth.

-built engine, lml crank, Carrillo rods, Mahle race cast pistons, wagler cam, arp head & main studs, oversized mhp valves

-built suncoast, all billet, 1053-1

-danville stg2r 72mm/s483 twins

-ppe dual fueler w/ Danville modified lbz pumps

-250% exergy injectors

Not related to the sell but just curious how much it took before the piston let go? I got the same ones but a lot less fuel and air, supposedly Mahle changed the casting a few years back for the better.

These pistons aren't very old so I'm not sure on casting design. They were also cryo treated and coated. I had A LOT of fuel tho with the 250s. I would guess it was making close to 1100hp. If I do keep the truck it's probably getting forged pistons since I don't daily drive the truck anymore.

How much are you asking? Miles? Trim package? Pictures?

I'm mostly gauging interest, I'm not sure what it's worth. It's got 200k on the odometer but all of the performance parts are under 5000 miles. LT CLOTH trim level.

It's a nice truck, 5k on the motor that's really making me question my piston choice Guess I will find out after a while just I didn't want to go the forged route since the truck is going to be used to haul also. I at least went with the LML oil pump and piston squirters hoping that would help.

I'm running CP-Carrillo forged pistons. They spec a much tighter piston-to-wall clearance than most forged pistons. CP wanted 0.008 iirc with a +/-0.0005 tolerance.

Maybe I'll keep the truck and look into that. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to pair the Carrillo rods to the pistons.

It's not a bad idea. Personally there are 2 main sources of supply in terms of getting street-able forged pistons. With what I've seen in terms of reliability claims from CP as well as speaking with a couple others who have them they are a great choice as is Diamond's pistons with a steel ring land. I believe D&J also is making steel ring land forged pistons but I can't remember.

Not kicking a guy when he’s down but why wouldn’t you use fingers oval pistons?

I have the same pistons in my motor without the cryo or coating. I'm running in the neighborhood of 900 to the tire, and I drive it very hard. So far, it is holding up just fine. I have 100% over injectors and dual CP3s. It has been on a 480/364.5 compound setup until I blew the 80 up a couple of weeks ago. Now it has a single 472 still at about the same power. The motor has 15k miles on it over the past year since I installed it in the truck, if not more.

That makes me feel better thanks Josh, I've been second guessing my piston decision for a while The diamonds were to new plus the lead time was huge on them and the CP Carrillo ones there really wasn't much info at the time I bought all my shit.
