    Thumping noise coming from intake

Great thread and sweet find!! I'm gonna tear back into mine and recheck all of the rockers and bridges. Those were the only parts I reused in my top end. My pushrods are all new so I must have something similar going on. Sent from my SM-S908U1 using Tapatalk

    Thumping noise coming from intake

Any recommendations on what could cause that other than the ones you've listed. I dont mean to hijack the thread, but I was where he is over a year ago. I tore into the motor all the way down to the head gaskets hoping to find something on my way there. The only thing I found was a failed...

    Thumping noise coming from intake

My truck does it, and it has no vacuum pump. Sent from my SM-S908U1 using Tapatalk

    Thumping noise coming from intake

That first thred posted above is me. One of my trucks, a 2002 LB7, makes that same exact thumping sound from the intake, except mine isn't quite as loud. But definitely the same sound frequency and tone. My truck has new heads with screw in cups, pushrods, double springs, billet injector hold...

    How do my angles look?

I pulled the 3" lift keys out of it and ordered new GM lift keys. Sent from my SM-S908U1 using Tapatalk

    How do my angles look?

Okay, so I went in there and backed out the adjustment bolts as far as they go. I went back in a few threads so the keys are resting on the adjustment bolt and not on the block nut. It looks more like my dually 3500, but nowhere near your perfectly flat ones. No idea how you pulled that off...

    How do my angles look?

In an ideal scenario, are they supposed to be completely flat? I got the truck with a 3 inch lift on it already, so I've never seen how it looked stock. The previous owner had the bars cranked all the way. I've got the adjustment bolts about halfway in. I'll decrank some more and will post...

    How do my angles look?

Just got done redoing the front end of my truck while simultaneously installing a 6-inch lift. I know excessive angles wear front-end components, so I wanted to get some opinions on how it currently sits, and whether I should de-crank the torsion bars some more.

    Boost leak/injector questions

Damn then the original owner was a baller cause the dude I bought it from was the second owner. He got it with 30k miles and he showed me pictures of it from when he got it in 2006 and all this was already done by the original owner. So the original owner bought an 04 truck brand new, interior...

    Boost leak/injector questions

Yeah Brad set me up with some SAC 45s for my 02 LB7. And I just had him quote me some SACs for this truck. I used to be afraid of the bad reputation the job had, but once I got into it I found its not as bad as people make it out to be. I feel alot more confident doing them now after I had to...

    Boost leak/injector questions

Here she is. Rough around the edges, but it was the cheapest, running, driving, rust free truck I could find. Working AC, 4x4 and 6 brand new Firestone tires were the cherry on top for me. Worst case scenario, I'm confident I can get my $5k back parting it out. But I dont see why I wouldn't be...

    Boost leak/injector questions

Well I can say with certainty that standing anywhere near the tailpipe of this truck is like letting death slowly take a hold over you lol I tried to put the tag on it while it was running and I wasnt able to get through the first screw without walking away and shutting it off cause the haze...

    Boost leak/injector questions

Well it definitely has a haze at idle when warm. Hard to see in the photos but its definitely there. So with the injector balance rates, the mileage, and with the haze. No way around it, injectors are definitely bad? Sent from my SM-S908U1 using Tapatalk

    Boost leak/injector questions

After much looking and driving 6 hours, I was able to land a 3500 dually. 2004 LB7 4x4. 240k miles. Neat two-tone interior, bose audio, heated seats, power mirrors, dual zone ac, fog lights. Seems it was a pretty loaded truck back in its day. Overall solid truck, got it for cheap cause the guy...

    3500 DRW Rear GAWR

Well, I went to the dealers yesterday and gotta say I'm both surprised and pleased by what I saw. It takes an F-450 cab and chassis truck to beat a GM 3500 in specs. On the latest model 1 ton trucks, here are the numbers for trucks sitting at the lot. 23 Ram 3500 DRW 9,750 lbs rear GAWR 23...

    3500 DRW Rear GAWR

Im gonna go out to a couple of dealerships today and compare rear GAWR between the 3 brands and see how far apart they are. Obviously, I'm a Chevy guy and would prefer to stick with GM trucks, but Im not too sure about hauling heavy with an auto trans constantly. Even with an ally. I do my own...

    3500 DRW Rear GAWR

Yeah, Im doing similar research into the Rams. What I'm doing is trying to figure out what's the best weight rating per dollar brand and gen, but only between GM's and Rams, cause I HATE working on Powerstrokes. Sent from my SM-S908U1 using Tapatalk

    3500 DRW Rear GAWR

From the sounds of this, every chassis update got a bump in GAWR then. So, 01-10 is 8550 probably. 11-13 I'm guessing was slightly higher since they had some chassis updates around this time I believe. Could be wrong. 14-19 is 9375 And the 2020+ are rated at 10,500. Sound about right...

    3500 DRW Rear GAWR

So from what you're saying, a 2005 3500 DRW and a 2015 3500 DRW should have very similar rear axle GAWR. Is that right? Sent from my SM-S908U1 using Tapatalk
