Just did my return trip of 700 miles and truck did not lose any coolant. Glad it self-corrected but wish I knew what was happening.:confused: -

I recently replaced my reservoir tank. Also thought about the overflow. May swap the old one back in and see if problem goes away. The overflow was the only component that the pressure test did not test. -

JP4 Jet Fuel use?
I have access to a lot of clean JP4 and was told older diesels such as my LLY and LB7 can burn it. I know the military is now using JP4 for their diesels. Anyone use this fuel before or have any advice pro or con? Hate to try it and screw things up.- Capt. Jim

White smoke from tailpipe after idle
I also had that same issue years ago with my '03 LB7. This was 100k miles after having injectors replaced under warranty. Fortunately, my injectors were still under extended warranty. Had them replaced and no more smoke. Good luck with yours. -

After checking everything I could, I found a local shop around the corner from me that refurbishes numerous control modules, including LLY's. After testing determined mine was indeed bad but rebuildable, they rebuilt mine for under $200 and it solved my problem. Truck now runs smooth and strong... -

Tonight I checked the resistance at the four pairs of wires that lead to the injectors on the affected bank. I checked them where they originate at the C1 connector on the FICM. All 4 ohmed out at .7 to .8 ohms. I don't know what they are supposed to be but at least they are consistant. Let me... -

I did not test for resistance, only continuity. Will do tomorrow after work and let you know what I find. When I replaced the pigtail connectors I maintained the same polarity. Was wondering if polarity matters on the connector. -

Ok....tested all my Bank 1 injector wires from connector C1 at the FICM to each of the 4 faulty injector pigtails, cylinders 1,2,4 and 7 with a continuity tester.
