    Broken Crankshaft Count?

I didn't want to say anything, but I knew the problem wasn't casting/metallurgy since billet crankshafts broke there as well. Fluid doesn't like making a 90 deg turn to feed the rest of the cylinders . The ports that get the most air are those cylinders where they are breaking, precisely...

    Injector hold down bolts stretch?

Yep, 'I don't have' the hands on experience you can determine that from miles and miles away, like the taking impact guns to anything on a cylinder head is experience I definitely wouldn't have ! lol.... That made me smile, okay I'm done here.

    Injector hold down bolts stretch?

I'm not going to stray off subject, so bringing up something else is just contrary. I'm specifically talking about the fastener threads. ''they can't understand unless it's written on paper, and even then couldn't physically perform the task they "engineered"'' If you really think...

    Injector hold down bolts stretch?

Really... air squeezes out and so does the lubricant. Male and female threads aren't air tight, if this was true we wouldn't need seals and plugs and or flared mating surfaces (ehem injector fittings) or AN fittings around fasteners that block pressurized and pass pressurized fluid through...

    Injector hold down bolts stretch?

I have a question for you. How can you use ''too much'' lube? You can apply it on the threads and under the bolt head, but placing another layer on top of that doesn't alter the friction levels anymore it will just squeeze out once torqued.

    Injector hold down bolts stretch?

It doesn't mean it's okay to. A person researching will see this and may think ''oh, it's okay" and want to hear that side, and not the latter. Unless advised, only 30wt oil should be used. Using ARP lubricants will end up over torquing fasteners and if it something that needs 50 + ft lbs...

    Injector hold down bolts stretch?

This makes no sense, maybe that's why people call mechanics ''parts changers'' and not engineers. You SHOULDN'T use ARP lube on anything that wasn't designed for ARP bolts, UNLESS you know what you're doing. You over stretch the fastener, it loses it's memory and doesn't return from the...

    HSP Billet Front Engine Cover

Looking forward to it, I like how compact it makes things, takes up less space and uh the billet cover gives extra points for being shiny :P , but yeah I definitely want to purchase one.

    Main Cap Walk

I doubt the movement had anything to do with with the girdle and main bearing cap as they are far stronger materials than the actual engine block, locating centers are important and I would've machined a dowel pin into the main cap+block. No one knows what kind of fastener tension it had...

[QU I'm from that environment and I'm sure you know nothing about them... usually one would know after a couple of words. Yes I added to my original post because no one would understand the point I'm trying to make I guess it made me less of a man to use the edit button. 1. Hardly anyone...

    Good Kill Mazda rx8

Some dumb kid said his little 13-B renesis was built and got run down by a 6600+lb diesel truck. I hope he layed the smacked down on that silly car. (you have no idea how fragile that engine is and secondly RX-8 aren't turbocharged) Oh and P.S most ppl don't build rotaries they normally take...

    Headers vs Manifolds

This is what happens when someone brings something different to the table. A turbocharger doesn't work off heat grab your blow torch and you'll find out it won't be turning . Heat is needed because fuel and air are expanding gas into the turbine blades and that expansion is from heat. To build a...

    Headers vs Manifolds

Funny thing to say after one comment after your posts ''you guys'' . Maybe you haven't done your home work ? Gasoline or Diesel exhaust energy doesn't matter it works the same. As soon as possible? It should be as smooth as possible. Even consecutive pulsation, selecting the correct...

    Headers vs Manifolds

Gasoline or Diesel it doesn't matter what gas is passing through it. Headers will always be better for flow dynamics, and this isn't general it's how you design them if you cheat bends, create unequal runner lengths and disruptive transitions then just the fact of having ''headers'' is not...
