    LML trans tuning here!

I thought he was taking about ripping apart the pan filter and seeing what's in there.

So what would a guy be looking for? Flakes? Gunk? What color material?

    LML trans tuning here!

From what I know bens box holds 250psi at all times when the box is turned on. And that's all it does. No shift point changes. Korys tuning varies pressure based on load so it will make the transmission run cooler and saves a little.bit of fuel.

    LML trans tuning here!

I have a feeling this is why the LML seems to "hold" more power... It just reduces wear at the times it happens to slip. So does this mean that the trans clutches have a similar torque capacity? Trans tuning and a Precision converter to reliably hold 650 HP sounds pretty good... Especially as...

    LML trans tuning here!

At what torque level do the stock trans clutches start to wear abnormally? Also is the converter clutch applied with main line pressure?

    LML trans tuning here!

So I guess Kory has his trans tuning out now. I'll definitely be ordering it, if only for the improved shift logic. I wonder what Mike thinks about the 650hp and 300psi claim?

LML Trans options to handle more power?

Wow, thanks you guys for responding to my thread. I actually just installed your tuning this week Kory. Hey, a quick question for Mike, there's a GM bulliten or something out to fix a harsh 5-6 downshift on the lml (TCM programming) Unfortunately not covered by warranty so its $110... What do...

LML Trans options to handle more power?

So it looks like even if I want to push the limits with just a converter and a line box, I'll need to plan on building it just in case no matter what. I can accept that. I had heard of some auxiliary mods to the LML trans and I wasn't sure if that was a new key to holding more power! If I had...

LML Trans options to handle more power?

Actually no, I'm 26... Yeah I've always had the same sentiment of build it right the first time. But that much money buys a lot of other toys. If I have to invest the full $6k to hold that much power than I'll just leave it stock with a tune. And there's nothing wrong with that I'll just...

LML Trans options to handle more power?

Hey guys, been following duramaxes since I was in high school, and my understanding has always been that you really should fully build up an Allison (minus billet internals) to go past the 550hp mark, for a cost of $5-6k Just wondering if its the same with a 2012 LML trans, or if I can make it...

Convincing a Ford guy to go GM

Good lord, the bullcrap that gets spread around... Cold day in hell Ford's chassis is better than GM's. GM just totally redesigned the damn thing and it's 93% stiffer and uses high-strength steel. The front suspension and brake system components were being designed to handle a 1.5 ton model...

Which build direction should I take?

Haha yeah me and many of my friends are pretty conservative, I'm 26 now so I figure by the time I'm 30 I might find someone to marry Lol I planned on getting a CCSB I used to like ex cabs as a lighter = faster truck but crews just looks so much better and too practical to pass up! All I...

Which build direction should I take?

Lol I hear ya. Really the reason I ask is because if I'm going lifted I should probably just buy one pre lifted.

Which build direction should I take?

Hey guys not sure if this is the right place to post this... I'm in the market for an lmm, and which truck I pick depends on what build direction I go... I'm wondering what you guys think is the best build for what I want out of it: Its gonna be owned for at least 6-7 years, longer if I...

    Divorced transfer.... Possible?

Well the only experience I have with divorced cases is with a Suzuki samurai. And from what I remember it had a short shaft with a slip joint. I would assume it should be balanced you would have to talk to a driveshaft shop to find out how hard it would be to balance.

    Divorced transfer.... Possible?

If you have the technical knowhow to fabricate custom x case mounts and driveshafts then yeah its possible. I would say though that it would be easier to put a different manual trans like an nv5600 behind the duramax and adapt that to the duramax transfer case..

    LML Performance Potential

That's what I like to hear! Really though, I'm not afraid to spend, I'll be keeping this truck potentially forever so its a lot of time to spread the money over.
