You will love the twins for the way your truck is set up. I am very happy I went with the twins. For trucks that are lifted it gives you great driveability, and almost no turbo lag. Fuel mileage dropped about 1.5mpg though.
Just curious what power range does this put you at Trent? That is awesome that the thing keeps living. Goes to show you that Robs tuning and Nathans twin setup is the shit.
My buddy Blaine did the 1st duramax hummer swap back in 04 or 05 when even GM said it couldnt be done. He owns Elite customs in Ogden Utah. Give him a call
Yeah im running the stock gears, but probably not for much longer. The weight between a 20" wheel and a 24" wheel is a huge difference, and definitely effect 1/4 mile times. Also when running at the track low gears isnt always wanted. I believe a few people have dropped down to 3.42's for...
You should race it on the 37's. Those 24" wheels are going to slow your truck down a bit. With the 38's I think high 13's would be a good run. Dont forget to drop your tbars up front and maybe clamp your springs in the rear, and give them hell.
That is awesome trent! Your truck is comning together well. If you go to fallon you should come to sac and run your truck. I bet you will get some very good times.
Hearing what Matts truck ran makes me want to build my motor.
Haha nice. I know what your talking about I bought a set of 35's for the track and my truck looks goofey on them, but it does make it a bit easier on parts, and faster.
Strong work! It sounds like your truck is running very well. Did you every re-gear it? Thats a good 60ft time as well on those 35's. The time I went to the track the best 60 ft I got was something like a 1.89.
Put the build in your truck. There is nothing like a fast lifted truck. If you build the motor, and have the fuel, and have nathan mod your turbo, turbos. I bet you can be mid 11's in the quarter.
I love my MPI twins. They make great power, are very very streetable, EGT's are awesome, and towing is supposedly even better than with the stock turbo. I havent got around to towing yet so i can t tell you first hand.
